Look at this!

I decided to test this morning, just because I had a feeling I was pregnant again. This came up after about 15 seconds, and it's darker now. Please, please, please pray for us. I told Richie, but I told him not to tell anybody else in the family. I have been taking baby aspirin to build up my uterine lining and whatever good stuff it does, so I'm hoping it works out.

Mommy2BAK replied: CONGRATS!!! I hope it all works out!
boyohboyohboy replied: CONGRATS DANA! I agree with tara call that OB gyn and get in asap and make sure they do everything they can to help you. also ask about the aspirin, i always thought that was something that preg. women should not take, as well as any nsaid, like aleve or advil... but check.. i am so happy for you.
HuskerMom replied: Yay! Congrats!!!
maestra replied: Congratulations! Prayers said, extra hard! I agree with the others- call your doc! There may be something they can do to help this one stick if they do some bloodwork to check levels.
Danalana replied: Thanks yall...I just had all my levels checked right before i tested positive last time, so I know my hormones are fine. I feel fine...a little nervous, but not terrified this time. I was cramping just a little yesterday. Not really pain, just that feeling that i was going to start. Well, it was only day 25 yesterday and my temp was still up, so I knew I wasn't about to start. That's why I was suspicious... I have a good feeling about this one
P.S. I already talked to the doctor's office and they are supposed to be calling me back with the date of my first appointment. I told them I wanted to get in there ASAP, so maybe it will happen. I think I won't take the baby aspirin anymore. I took it this morning, but that will be all.
indywndy_04 replied: Ohhh I am soo excited. Come on little bean baby, stay in there and hang on tight!!!!
Danalana replied: I'm excited too! I didn't think i would ever be able to be excited about it again, but I am I read about this one girl who took the baby aspirin after a couple of early miscarriages like mine, and she stopped taking it a couple of weeks after she found out she was pregnant. Still, some doctors don't want you taking it. I wish I could find out!
moped replied: what is it supposed to do?????
Danalana replied: Well, a lot of early miscarriages are due to insufficient lining of the uterus. And there are also sometimes these proteins that cause blockages and cause miscarriages. Baby aspirinf prevents that and also builds up the uterine lining.
indywndy_04 replied: Yea, I agree..I wouldnt take anything. I was even leary on taking medications for my cold I had a couple of months ago. Just be real careful and go ahead and look at the foods they claim to stay away from...wether it is weird or not, stay away from them because you have a sensitive system.
tammyhopkins replied: I am coming in a little late on this one. But congratulations on this exciting news. How far along are you?
moped replied: I did not know that at all
Danalana replied: I'm almost 4 weeks...just over 3 1/2
Jackie012007 replied: WOW! I hope everything goes well - CONGRATS!!! KUP when you go to the OB!!!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Congratulations, hun!! H&H 9mos to you!!! This is incredible news!!
Danalana replied: The doctor's office never called back...I will call tomorrow. I might also call my old OB (she doesn't know she is the old one yet) and see if she will order an HGC test from my family doctor. I really want to know what my levels are.
PrairieMom replied: It sounds to me like you are totally being screwed around with by your Dr's. How can you trust them to help you through this pregnancy if they can't even be trusted to call you back?!?! I have half a mind to drive down there, get you and take you in myself. You deserve to be a priority.
Sorry to vent on your thread.
Don't let them push you around, press them for any testing they can do, stress your history to them, don't let them push you aside because you haven't reached 12 weeks yet.
Ok. I'm done. You know I say these things because I love you. You probably cringe when you see I posted.
Mommy2Isabella replied: I say the same thing Tara... I have told her to call them back and tell them, LOOK I have had 2 MC's and I NEED TO BE SEEN.
I told her I would drive there and take her in ... lol as well!
Gosh, we are SO ON THE SAME PAGE Tara!!
PrairieMom replied: Oh good. I'm feeling a little over protective.
MotherForever2043 replied: Yay, it definetly looks darker! I will pray very hard!!! Be really careful honey.
sparkys2boys replied: OMG OMG... I just seen the news girl!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck and congrats!!!
Danalana replied: Awww, I appreciate my little protectors I told them when I talked to them around noon today that I needed to be seen ASAP...and I did stress my history. I will call them tomorrow.
Miranda1127 replied: congrats and best wishes
DillsMommy replied: Aww Dana, Congrats!! I'm praying for ya! ~~STICK BABY STICK~~ we all want you here so bad!
Danalana replied: Thanks, Mandy! Wow, you're already 32 weeks!
Cece00 replied: Have you had your progesterone & other lvls checked?
Danalana replied: Yep...I am perfectly healthy and everything is normal.
StephanieM replied: Congrats Dana. I'm so excited for you
Danalana replied: Thank you
Kaitlin'smom replied: okay its 9am my time did you call that doc yet? Please dont let them push you off and if they try find another doc ASAP. If I could I would come get you and bring you here we have a great womans support center that could help you.
Danalana replied: It's only 8:20 here, so I have to wait for a little while, but I promise I'm calling. I want to get in there too!
Kaitlin'smom replied: okay so your an hour behind me........to bad they did not open at 8a like some docs
Danalana replied: SO. My cell phone started ringing and I got up and ran right to it. it had already stopped when i got there, so they didn't even let it finish. It was the doctor's office, so I tried to call them back. No answer I'll try them again in just a sec.
Kaitlin'smom replied: ahhh so maybe they start making calls about 8 or 8:30a.....keep tring.....
Danalana replied: I'm talking to them now...nobody ever seems to understand what's going on And they JUST called a few minutes ago!
Danalana replied: These people are starting to make me mad, and I've never even been there. The first available appointment with that doctor is a week from today at 2:15. That would put me at 4 weeks and 5 days....which is what I was when I lost the last one
Kaitlin'smom replied: well if they dont want to help make sure this one sticks find another one, doctors are suppost to be there for YOU, I mean you pay them so if they dont do what you need fire them
then IMO start calling around till you find one who can see you today or tomorrow at the very latest.
PrairieMom replied:
If the Dr is booked, than there is nothing that can be done. You could ask to be contacted if there is an opening, but I would start calling around. Even if you can't get in with the Dr you want to get in with, at least get seen by SOMEONE. you can always switch dr's later. the thought with them is that so many pregnancies MC, and they happen so early, there is nothing you can do about it anyway, so why even bother seeing the mother. drives me nuts.
keep calling around. How big is your town? you have to have more options, right?
OOH I am so frustrated for you.
Mommyof3 replied: Dana-which hospital/doctor do you use? I went to Brookwood Hospital for all of mine, and I had a lot of problems with one doctor who never listened or took me seriously, so I changed to Dr. Greg Banks there and he is AMAZING! My sister is at the end of a VERY high risk pregnancy. She has miscarried 4 times at different points in pregnancies and she is going to him. He is a high risk doctor and all of the husbands love him too. He is very sweet and always takes time out to listen to your concerns. His head nurse is great too. If you are interested in switching, you can look them up. It's Alabama Women's Specialists at Brookwood Hosptial. I LOVED him!!! And all of the other doctors in his practice are great too.
Another great thing is that if you tell them your past medical history with your other pregnancies, they will fit you in TODAY in between appointments! They did it for me with Caroline and they did it for my sister with her pregnancy.
Danalana replied: I'm gonna be seeing Dr. Rosenstiel at the Women's Pavilion at Northport Medical Center...I've heard he is excellent. And Tara, there are no options in my town at all. The CLOSEST OB--the one I already see--is 45 minutes away. The place I will be going is an hour away. I live in a very small town...like, 2,500 people. Pretty much dead place.
Mommyof3 replied: Ooohhhhh....I didn't realize you were not in Birmingham....I'm sorry...
Kaitlin'smom replied: did you get in with them today?
Danalana replied: It's ok...I'm 2 hours from Birmingham. And I haven't heard from them yet...
moped replied: Tara, I truly didn't think there was anything that could be done to stop an early mc......so for her to go next week would not make a difference - but I don't know
tammyhopkins replied: Well that is great, after reading your struggles this is great news.
It might be better that you cannot get in until next week because your levels may be low right now and you would get stressed out. By next week your levels would more be int he normal range. i had levels checked with my son and my levels were very low and it just stressed me out waiting because i had a mc just before him.
good Luck
PrairieMom replied: I agree, unless its low progesterone or something like that, but for her piece of mind... and just to keep an eye on things. If it were me I would want to be seen even if there isn't anything that can be done, I'm the kind of person that can't just wait-and -see. I need a total play by play.
None of this matters, tho, because this bean is sticky!!!!!!!!!!!!
lovemy2 replied: You are awesome Tara Dana - follow this woman's example - be very assertive for your sake and the sake of this baby
Danalana replied: Yes! This one's staying
Mommy2Isabella replied: Gosh Tara, i think we may be twins ...
I can't wait and see ... Im a need to knower. I wish you lived here Dana, I guess my Dr. doesn't play around, I have already been in 3 times ... But I am also high risk and all that jazz, but still, with 2 mc's I think they should take it a little more seriously and atleast let you have that peace of mind
lovemy2 replied: I agree - I had the exact same experience.....
moped replied: I agree - this one will stick.......
But truthfully I have had my share of mc and many many people close to me - at 4-8 weeks there is nothing that can be done. The dr's aren't putting her off at all, I think they need her to relax and go next week for blood etc...........
I know I sound like a cow but I have been through it many times!
grapfruit replied: I don't think you're being a cow. You have a valid point. I think she just needs/and wants to go for reassurance. Yes? I can totally understand that. Just someone "offical" to tell you "here do this". KWIM?
moped replied: Oh I agree - go for reassurance, but if they can't fit you in til next week that is good too!!!!!!
Danalana replied: Yes. I agree with everyone
MyBabeMaddie replied: OMG!! I AM SOOOOO EXCITED FOR YOU! YOU BETTER TAKE IT EASY! MANY MANY P&PTS! FOR YOU, RICHARD, AND YOUR BEAN!
Danalana replied: I'm just so excited about going to the doctor...hearing somebody tell me I'm pregnant...not that I WAS pregnant.
grapfruit replied: I think you're just in an "agreeable" mood!
Danalana replied: I agree!
A&A'smommy replied: Congratulations!!! i'm sending lots of STAY BABY vibes!!
Danalana replied: Thank you! Are you absolutely sure that you love your doctor? They haven't made a great first impression on me....but maybe I'm just emotional. Or maybe he's a great doctor, but his nurses don't have any idea what's going on...
moped replied: when are you going to the dr?
Danalana replied: I'm going next Thursday
redplaydoh replied: I'm virtually sending you:
Peanut Butter Honey Scotch Tape The handle to our front door The end seating section of my couch Two half-eaten larger than life lollipops My DH's collection of duct tape, electrical tape and masking tape and two sticker books from the boys...
That's pretty much all of the sticky stuff I have in my house right now, so you're getting a LOT of sticky vibes from across the ocean.
Congrats!!!
indywndy_04 replied: That was super cute of you!!!! I love it!
What do I have that is sticky??? ummmm....
- my sons fingers after he eats peanut butter and jelly.... - his toy that you throw on the wall and it sticks there.... - some gummy worms...
I can't think of anything else right now...
Danalana replied: Thanks, ladies! It's sticky over here
PrairieMom replied: Al is running round with one of those lint brushes, that is pretty sticky, its on its way...
Danalana replied: I first tested on Wednesday, but you know they usually come with another test. SO, I took it yesterday (the next day, because i'm a dork!) Anyway, here's a pic....I wasn't due to start til at least today.
moped replied: SWEET!
Danalana replied: Well, at least I don't have anymore tests
moped replied: Yeah that is a good thing - no more tests!
Danalana replied: Nope, I'm gonna buy any...
PLUS, I'm having the twinges and pulling...I know what that is
indywndy_04 replied: Yep - that looks like a good strong line! So the count must be going up!! I cant wait until Thursday to hear what the doctor says!!!
Mommy2Isabella replied: What do I have that is sticky ...
Isabella, she is always sticky, from who knows what.
All of my scrapbook tape, glue, sticker stuff
Isabella's teddy bear, she eats it, and it is sticky.
** I don't have much ... but hey its worth it right **
Danalana replied: I will take anything sticky
Danalana replied: I can't wait, either! I will be 4 weeks and 5 days by then
jem0622 replied: I hope you don't mind, but I'd like to share with you what I took after having an m/c. I have to preface this with the fact that I researched like mad about it, and my perinatologist was thrilled that I did this on my own. He told me not to stop taking any of this until the pregnancy was over:
1 prenatal vitamin 2 B-6 vitamins 2 B-12 vitamins 1 calcium supplement 1 folic acid supplement
Also, I had my progesterone tested as soon as I got a BFP and it was in the teens. You NEED to get this checked. If it isn't 25 or higher, then please get on a supplement (whether oral or suppository).
It got to a point where I also had to take iron too.
ETA: I didn't take the baby aspirin, but was told that I could take it if I wanted to and that it wouldn't hurt to add it. If you are taking it now, then don't stop taking it.
Cece00 replied: Dana, I would really urge you go to see a Dr NOW. Find one who will see you NOW.
I love my OB. I had 2 pregnancies without any major problems. It took DH and I 4 months to conceive our daughter and I was *terrified* of having a m/c even though I had *never* had one in my life. My dr got me in the next day and let me have EVERY test I asked for, and an ultrasound. Everything looked great, but then the prog. test came back low.
I had NO reason to suspect my prog to be low (I was worried about my hcg) but you know what, I very well could've lost my daughter had I not gone in. SOMETHING just told me I needed to go be checked. I had to stay on prog. until 14 weeks.
When I found out I was pregnant with Jack, I had a 2.5 month old. My Dr got me in THAT DAY to have my prog. lvls checked since I had problems with my 3rd pregnancy with the prog. and guess what- it was VERY low this time, because I was on birth control when I got pregnant, and I had been on the placebo pills for a week so I had had no prog. My OB said the birth control actually probably kept me pregnant and my lvls had dropped super low b/c I had been on the placebos. I had to go on prog. until 14 weeks again.
You absolutely can get a DR who will make you a priority and I really, really strongly urge you to call around & get someone who will get you in like MONDAY, or even this afternoon. Tell them your history and tell them you are VERY worried. They may go ahead & give you the progesterone after they draw blood, just in case.
BabyOwen427 replied: molasses honey kitchen floor after soda has been spilt on it and not cleaned up very well the stuff between the paper and pizza box when they are giving you a coupon that you never use anyways envelope glue on your tounge after licking the envelope half dried nail polish the stuff on the back of stickers denture adheasive bubble gum in your hair half sucked on lifesaver stuck to your car seat and of course your sticky bean
well I'm sure I'm going to be thinking of sticky stuff all day now
Danalana replied: Would it matter that all my hormones were normal before pregnancy? Or should I still get the progesterone tested?
I might see if I can get in to see my old OB on Monday... I felt a little light-headed today...just babrely, but it was noticeable. I HATE water, but I have been trying to drink it. Probably not as much as I should, but I am working up to it! Tasteless bunch of mess... But I will do whatever it takes
Danalana replied: Ok, here's the latest. I'm REALLY nervous. My old OB sent an order to my family doctor so I can get my HGC level checked. I'm going monday, and it scares the crap out of me. I have been so happy, and not worried. But, somehow, the nimbers scare me. I need for this to be ok.
jem0622 replied: Don't just have them check the hCG. Make them check your progesterone. It is very important! If it is low, demand an Rx! And consider what I said earlier too. Definitely stay on the aspirin.
Danalana replied: See, they told me to stop taking the aspirin... I have heard different things...i guess doctors are just different.
moped replied: But you are feeling ok?
Danalana replied: I feel great. Let me tell you some of the weird stuff though... I don't want chocolate at all. And I LOVE CHOCOLATE! That is really weird for me. Also, I am sooooo hot a lot of the time. Usually, i'm pretty cold-natured
moped replied: Interesting!
Keep us posted from the dr for sure!
maestra replied: I second getting your progesterone checked, anything they will check! Mine came out on the lower end of normal, and I was ok, but I was also taking B-6 at the time. I had begun taking it at the end of the cycle before, because my leutal phase had only been 10 days, (a short lp is usually due to low progesterone) and B-6 is supposed to help keep your progesterone up. I took the B-6 until a couple of months in.
Make them test all the hormones again, just to be safe.
Danalana replied: Welp, I get my hCG level tested on Monday...I'm nervous. But hopeful.
PrairieMom replied: and progesterone?
Danalana replied: I don't really know what they have ordered
Cece00 replied: Ask him to check the progesterone, too, they will just draw all the blood @ one time. Its important.
redplaydoh replied:
This is VERY IMPORTANT... ESPECIALLY if you've had a previous m/c!! I was on progesterone injections daily for 6 weeks with both of my pregnancies. There are other methods of taking it, orally and via suppository (with IVF they want you to take the injections). Make sure they add this to your blood work!!! Don't wait for the doctor to be the pro-active one here, you need to be agressive and demand that they do this. YOU are the one paying your doctor for his services and you have the right to request things. Stand up and be assertive for you and your bean. And definately start taking your pre-natal vitamins and make sure it contains a good amount of folic acid....
Danalana replied: I've been taking a pre-natal vitamin for about 2 years...a few months ago, I added a separate folic acid. No worries there.
lovemykiddies replied: Just wanted to add in my congratulations! I'm thinking of you, and very happy for you!!
Danalana replied: Thank you!
Danalana replied: I went to get the test done...they have to send it to the hospital, so they should have the results by the end of the day. SO, I should find out tomorrow. Of course, that reading won't mean a whole lot until I get the reading on Thursday.
Another something weird today...I was getting out of bed, and noticed that I feel like I have done a million sit-ups I haven't done any, so I'm assuming this is normal pregnancy stuff.
Kentuckychick replied: Hey Dana I just got home from vacation last night so of course I missed out on all the fun and wanted to send my congrats to you!!!
I too am sending all of my sticky vibes your way for this little one and I hope that all of your tests go well today
luvbug00 replied:
LOL me tooooo! I'm not alone! I HATE the taste of water, had to forse it down with mya. STICKY DUST still comming!!!!
Danalana replied: I hope all the water doesn't get in the way of the all the sticky stuff yall are giving me.
indywndy_04 replied: NOoo it wont, think of it as watering your seed to grow into a healthy beautiful flower. Water is good for you and the baby. It also helps keep your amnio fluid up because I have a hard time with this...they tell me to drink lots of water.
moped replied: So did you get your tests back??????
Danalana replied: Im apparently surrounded by inefficient people. My old OB was supposed to get the results today, via fax. They called late this afternnon and said they didn't get the fax, but that the results should be scanned into the computer tomorrow and she will call then. *sigh*
Bouncing3 replied: Congratulations!!! I hope that all works out for you this time.
sparkys2boys replied: Ohhhhhhh no news yet.. grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Im so excited for you!!
