Lord Why?

Crystalina wrote: Ok, so not only does DH buy the UFC fight for 30 some odd dollars but then I have to listen to him yell at the t.v. for 3 hours.dry.gif DishNetwork should really be paying ME! So I lose money and get a headache. Yeah, thanks.

Anybody elses SO do this? He really gets into it. He tenses up, stands up, jumps up uses every cuss word imaginable (and even makes some up). rolleyes.gif

Sam & Abby's Mom replied: No. Thank God, No. But, dont feel alone - my DH does some equally annoying things - trust me wink.gif

Twelve Volt Man replied: OK... allow me to clear this up for you women people. Thirty bucks is a cheap price to pay so that us men can watch some good old fashioned a$$ whoopin'. It could be worse... we could take out our frustration on you people, who inflict upon us so much pain. Instead, we choose to watch guys beat each other to a pulp. We beg you... please give us this much, at least.

A&A'smommy replied: wacko.gif no thank goodness but OOO Football especially the Iron Bowl (bama vs. Auburn) growl.gif of course sometimes I'm right in there with them... okay no but I agree he does equally annoying things!! wink.gif

Calimama replied: Nope, doesn't really interest him and for that.. I am thankful. emlaugh.gif

lovemy2 replied: Be Thankful it was only three hours this one time - for me its FOUR hours EVERY week when the Pittsburgh Steelers play sleep.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied:
1 word, TiVo! Aaron is just as bad with the Colts. During playoffs last year, Logan and I stayed on a different floor of the house from him. Some of the curses are quite colorful. Most are just plain huh.gif though.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Nope - my DH pays $200 a year to get a football package to make sure we don't miss a single Dolphins game. He does quite a bit of yelling - but little or no cursing since the kids are in the house. But then I'm right there yelling with him on a lot of it, and then there's the college football, the other teams in our division that we have to root against, my 2 nephew's junior football games....We're a football family for sure. thumb.gif

Crystalina replied: My dh seems to forget all about the kids when UFC is on. dry.gif Usually at that time they are well asleep anyway. I like to watch when Chuck L. fights but all those other guys not so much. See, when Chuck fights it only lasts about one round. One round I can handle. emlaugh.gif

HuskerMom replied: My dad and I get pretty loud when we watch Nebraska football games. Dh does too but he doesn't watch as much since they got rid of Solich. So the yelling doesn't bother me bc I do it too. laugh.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: Nope. We don't have digital cable or dish so we get the basic channels and thats it. Umm ... he doesn't really yell at the tv though, guess Im lucky in that deparment!

luvmykids replied:
DH is a BIG Steelers fan too, too bad we don't live closer so they could watch at your house while we hang out at mine laugh.gif

Crystal, if it makes you feel any better, DH's friend paid about $800 for a ringside table when the UFC was here, then got in a fight and they all got kicked out about 20 minutes into the thing rolling_smile.gif

sweetpeasof3 replied:
emlaugh.gif Wow! $800

Jake&Emma'sMommy replied: My DH has been really into baseball these days. He was a football fanatic-drove me nuts!!!!

luvbug00 replied: we are a soccer family so no UFC but Lars bought every soccer network avalible and we watch alot and he doesn't sware too much. alot of "OH COME OOON!!!" rolleyes.gif But whatever since soccer is after all...only 90 min. emlaugh.gif

coasterqueen replied: I'm the only female on here that likes UFC? blush.gif We had some friends stay with us a few months back and the guys had that on and I LOVED it. So I'd be right there with your DH. blush.gif blush.gif

We are huge baseball fans too so the game is always on in our house.

Crystalina replied:
No I really like watching it but not 3 hours worth. I don't like to watch the guys I don't know either. I don't have enough room in my head for all that. rolling_smile.gif

Danalana replied:
Oh heck yes! I'm all over the Iron Bowl! Ummmm, and all the other Bama games. And most other college and NFL games emlaugh.gif What can i say, i'm the perfect wife! blush.gif Ok, I'm not, but I DO love football...I get just as upset as a lot of guys. My husband is so laid back that I'm usually the one yelling rolling_smile.gif

And the Colts! I just act like a fool when I watch them...they're my favorite pro team, and have been for about 3 years or more wub.gif Man, I'm so glad Fall is almost here!

TheOaf66 replied: Well Crystal, I have to defend your hubby here, UFC is a vent for men (and Karen evidently laugh.gif ) It is in our genes to yell at the TV during sporting events as if they can hear us. As for the money issue, have him do what I do, get a few friends together, everyone brings beer and chips etc and then it is not very expensive at all.

Danalana replied: Yeah, we're going to watch the Alabama game at a friend's house on Saturday. The game is on PPV, so we are all going to chip in and help pay for it. It makes a difference!

Crystalina replied:
...but it comes on for free a week or so later. emlaugh.gif DH's friends are too cheap, are you kidding me! Maybe if we pay and feed them. dry.gif

holley79 replied: Well Shawn is in the family room watching IFL on the big screen which ever night it comes on. If he isn't able to watch it he DVR's it. Him and a friend got the UFC but they go to his friend's house to watch it and his friend's wife come to mine if I'm home.

TheOaf66 replied: well not very good friends then

you don't get to see it for free for another 3-4 months

it is in comparison to "there is a big sale and I HAVE to go or I will miss out"
