Lower fuel prices?? - another dumb question from me

On our piece of land here in NW Florida (Pensacola to be exact) gas averages $2.33-$2.35 and this has been a steady drop after the last three Hurricanes that we dodged in the last two months.

Anyone else see a drop in gas prices??

KingMom replied: Yeah, the lowest I've seen gas at is $2.18/gallon. I heard the reason for the drop is part to do with the fact that many people are looking into the Hybrid vehicles that run off electic also so that they need to buy fuel since the costs is so high. The fuel industry decided they better lower the costs in order to keep people in their current cars. Just what I heard.

5littleladies replied: Ours is just above 2 dollars a gallon and I know someone who filled up recently for $1.99!

Boys r us replied: I have to put premium in my car and it's about $2.19 but my DH uses regular and his is $1.99!!

C&K*s Mommie replied: Is this a sign of the times, I mean the BIG oil companies with record breaking profits this past 3rd quarter are not going to get FAT off of us anymore?? WOO HOO!!!!

redchief replied: Prices will definitely go back up in April next year. They'll either stabilize or continue to drop a little until then, unless there's another catastrophe or OPEC raises prices a lot again. Amazing how fuel prices always go up at the start of vacation season isn't it?

Usually here in Pensacola, the only time we see a rise is during hurricane season. Then they skyrocket our gas prices to over $3.00a gallon. It gets real old real quick. Especially when you are having to pay that for gas to go in your generator.

coasterqueen replied: Yes, big time! From $3.29 a gallon now down to $2.27. It shocks me every day I see the price go down but it also makes me sick because I shouldn't be happy the prices are at $2.27. They should be MUCH lower.

A&A'smommy replied: yeah I'm seeing that too all I can say is THANK YOU GOD!!!! I'm sick of gas prices its still around 2 50 her I think maybe a bit lower like around 2.45 for some reason its cheaper everywhere else we have been like 2.20

MomToJade&Jordan replied: Last check the Post gas station was down to $2.31 for unleaded. It was as high as $3.16 after Katrina. Of course the gas price drops now when I don't have to drive that 30 minutes to the hospital 2 times a week. It's a nice break though.

My2Beauties replied: Ours was $2.15 per gallon the last time I checked, I heard we should be starting to see them drop to under $2.00 again! Woo hoo! They'll just go right back up again though!

amymom replied: WOW some of those prices are good! (I agree with Karen, It's sad that I'm saying 2.20 is a good price.) But we are still up around $2.60 in most places. I did pay only $2.53 the other day.
