We got in the car and all the way there she was saying she was going to tell Daddy what she's been up to and how she was going to give him a kiss I tried to explain to her that we might need to wait for him for a bit because he would be rehearsing . . . I though cassie had understoood this but obviously she didn't! We went into the auditorium where Jason was rehearsing, they weren't on the stage but just in front of it, and we went to sit somewhere near the front so that she could watch him. Well, they were rehearsing a scene where Jason's character was getting a otngue-lashing and Cassie got a bit upset. I tried to explain to her that it was just acting, but then one of the other peopl who in the scene had to "hit" Jason and shout at him. Obviously Cassie absolutely adores her daddy, and when she saw this happening, she wen past me ran, up to Jason and said "daddy's crying", then went to give him a kiss . . . luckily the director knows Jason quite well and found it funny, but then Cassie was giving dirty looks to the guy who had pushed Cassie over and wouldn't speak to them Jason picked her up and explained that they were only pretending but I think she got a bit upset, so the director had to call cut and they went home for the night! For the rest of the night, Cassie kept asking daddy "who was that nasty man" and "why did he hit you." I think we've scarred her for life! xx
