Maybe I should pay more attention to the radio
MommyToAshley wrote: Or, at least the lyrics to the songs on the radio. I sensor the television Ashley watches, I guess I should be more cautious about the radio too.
Today during lunch, Ashley was singing...
"... he flipped me the bird and then he was gone some beach, some where"
Oooops! I hope her pre-school teacher doesn't ask her to a song.
Josie83 replied: Lol! I wouldn't have thought that that was too bad, unless I'm not geting some hidden meaning here
Cassie loves Iron Maiden, Pearl Jam, the Chillis, Creed, Linkin Park and Staind (which her daddy and uncle Blaise let her listen to) and believe me there are only a FEW songs she can listen to by them! Because she's like Ashley, she sings them back xx
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: They pick up stuff so easily!! But that is a good Blake Shelton song.
gr33n3y3z replied: lol
Its still cute hearing them sing songs
MommyToAshley replied: Yes, this isn't too bad. But, who knows what else she will start singing. LOL! So, I have decided to pay more attention to all lyrics.
A&A'smommy replied: OMG lol well its a good song but maybe not for toddlers
Boys r us replied: I love that song! I cracked up the first time I heard it..
But yeah I can see where it might not be the best song for a little one to be singing..although Braedon..ahhh he still loves that song by snoop dog, drop it like it's hot and I have had to learn to rephrase my words b/c of it! I sued to tell him he was being a bad boy when he would do something he shouldn't and everytime I would say, "Braedon when you do...such and such...it makes you a bad boy" he would say " and I've got lots of ho's"
My2Beauties replied: I love that song, Brian always sings it when we go to karaoke bars! LOL! But I agree, maybe not the best thing for Ashley to be saying! I'm also cracking up at Braeson saying he has lot's of ho's
JessC replied: LOL! OMG, that is too funny!
DF sings that ALL the time but makes up his own lyrics!
coasterqueen replied: LOL! Yes it is good to pay attention to that stuff to some degree. Just remember when she goes to preschool she'll be picking up a lot more because you can't monitor the other children. I say this because I try to teach Kylie to be *proper* but daycare/preschool isn't helping us. On our trip this past week Kylie starting singing some song and one of the phrases in it was "Don't look at my dog butt, Do you like your dog butt? I like mine". I found out she learned this from a little 4 year old at daycare who learned it from another kid at school. Nice, huh?

Nichole! My 9 yr old listens to some of his older brother's rap stuff- and I find it hilarious to hear him singing "Roll out" with his little speech impediment, which sounds more like "Woll out". It sounds like Elmer Fudd in the 'hood.
kit_kats_mom replied: I must be getting old because now, if it's not NPR I don't listen to it. I turned on the radio in the car the other day and heard a playlist that made me cringe.
Pussy cat dolls - Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me? followed immediately by some whiny guy singing about dying. I got the impression that he was in the process of dying and it made him want to "Scream".
K still likes her kids music and that suits me just fine if that was any barometer of the "good stuff"
...get outta my yard you whipper-snappers! LOL
kimberley replied: LOL too funny! i woulda cracked up!
mammag replied: That's so funny! I heard a song on the radio tonight that I wouldn't even be able to type here except in P&I and it made me think of this post. It's pretty bad sometimes!
