Mckaylee and crayons - Im so peeved at ELMO

C&K*s Mommie replied: I have so many gripes about kids shows and what they reinforce in the kids watching them. They (anyone who writes and/or approves the writing of the show) must have older children and have forgotten that kids are so very easily influenced by what they see and hear.

5littleladies replied: Boy can I relate to that! Brianna has colored on so many surfaces in our house I'm still in disbelief! And I'm so slow-I never even thought about Elmo's coloring on the walls as being influential. What the heck were they thinking??

MyLuvBugs replied: Oh Wow!! No wonder it's so hard to parent at times. Kids are totally influenced by those characters, and you'd think the writers of the show would know that.

widgetX12 replied: Bah!! Thats just not right! I cant remember what show it was but a gf of mine said that on some show the character put the toilet rug on as a cape. ewww So of course her child tried it! She said he was never allowed to watch that show again! lol
