Megan's sick, so is Kylie and so am I
coasterqueen wrote: Ugh. What I thought was just Kylie and I having allergies is not that . Kylie and I were both sick the entire month of March with a cold. Well we both got sick again this past Sunday and are still sick. I started to think last night that it must be allergies not a cold because of our symptoms.
WELLLLLLL......Megan has been congested all night and all today and i thought it just had to do with her spitting-up issues because that makes her congested. Well I started noticing her chest was really raspy, especially in the past few hours and I went to clean out her nose and it was all yellow snot. She is also gagging with lots of mucous in the back of her throat and is just sitting her crying because she's uncomfortable. I called the PED and he's out til tomorrow and Urgent Care won't see a baby this young and our PED advised us not to go to the ER unless she gets increasingly worse. So we are taking her in tomorrow.
WHY ME???????????????? She's only 4.5 weeks old, Dh is out of town, I'm sick, Kylie's sick, I think I'm going to lose it.
~Roo'sMama~ replied: Oh Karen, I'm sorry!! I hope you all get better soon. Poor Megan! I had that same nasty cold in march and when it started coming back I started taking extra vitamin C and soaking my toothbrush in listerine every night and it seems to have worked! I know that wouldn't help Megan any but it might work for you and Kylie.
ediep replied: oh no Karen!!!! I am so sorry!! Try to take a few deep breaths and relax. Hopefully the doc will give you some good advice for the girls tomorrow
kimberley replied: oh no! i am sorry hon. i wish i could come take care of all of you! can someone come to help you out for a day or two? i hope you are all better soon

MommyToAshley replied: Oh Karen, I felt so bad reading your post. I can only imagine how hard it is to deal with all this while you are sick and Ryan is out of town. It's especially rough to see the little ones so sick. Does a vaporizer help at all?
I am sending some get well vibes!!! Please let us know what the doc says tomorrow.

Jamison'smama replied: Oh, sorry you guys are all sick..poor gals! Use that saline and she'll be fine soon. Jack spent the first 2 months catching and recatching Jama's colds--I know your pain!
Big hugs (at first I typed bug hugs which would might be fun) but big hugs to all of you!
coasterqueen replied: LOL! Thanks.
You know I really thought Kylie and I were just battling allergies and a part of me still thinks that but then why would Megan be congested and have yellow snot? So another part of me thinks I guess we all have some type of cold then.
I guess breastmilk isn't helping her in this instance. SIGH.
jcc64 replied: Oh Karen, this is the hazard of being a second child. I remember Noah had a fever when he was only 3 weeks old, thanks in large part to a big brother in preschool. It's totally scary, and yet, that's why 2nd kids don't seem to get sick as often when they're older. Not much comfort to you now, but there's a silver lining in everything I guess. I hope you all recover quickly, and make sure you get something good out of dh for this!
aspenblue1 replied: I am so sorry. I hope you all feel better soon.
kit_kats_mom replied: Aw Karen, I'm sorry you guys are battling the bugs. I'm so looking forward to spring when the germies are going away
