Memorial Day Weekend

What is everyone doing this weekend? Any plans?

Kaitlin'smom replied: yep we leave Friday night to go to the 'Farm' MIL & SFIL house they have 15 acres? maybe more I am not sure. The girls are going shopping (theres tons like 50+ year sales that weekend) while the boys work they are helping to build a new barn for the horses/cows. It should be FUN.

JP&KJMOM replied: Hey woman. We are going fishing either at the river or lake. Not sure which yet and maybe both depending on where they are biting. And I am sure that it will turn into a huge fish fry before it is all over with.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Well here in Pensacola, I am definately staying away from the beaches! At one time the beaches were notorious for certain activities, although I am not so sure if it still is as big as it was a few years back.

We have no plans though. I am sure someone at Chris' work will be throwing a cookout, as they do every weekend anyways. So we may join one, and have a nice time with friends.

What about you Jimmie, what are your plans?

BAC'sMom replied: As little as possible.

No BIG plans. Stay home… maybe work in the yard….spend time with the kids. I can tell I will not be on the beach or in the boat or @ Walmart. There will be too many people in town!

I should just load up the kids and go Float the Frio!

You said it sister. And they will come from Houston, Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth and you know how those San Antonio nuts are right?

JP&KJMOM replied: yes I know how those SA nuts are. You should have to live in the middle of all of them!! Remember Jimmie I am not from this nutty place!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: We're waiting for baby, so not doing much. Friends invited us over for a BBQ on Sunday and we may go to a park on Monday. That's about it...it will most likely be a typical weekend of chores and a bit of relaxing. Maybe DH and I will go to a movie if we can find a sitter and I can sit through it.

MyLuvBugs replied: Dh is leaving tomorrow for Phoenix to be with his momma for her surgery, and the kid and I are headed to my parents house b/c MY grandparents are coming up for my Grandfathers 70th Class Reunion. lol So, busy weekend.

PrairieMom replied: I'm working. Hopefully it will be the last weekend I have to work before the baby arrives tho! I'm keepin my fingers crossed.

We were supposed to be having a family get together with DH's side in Ruidoso, an awesome little resort town (lots of Texans Jimmie & Karen ) but the kids and I are now going to stay here and bbq with my parents and just chill out, maybe play a little golf. Maybe go swimming at a friends house. I'm sort of bummed about not going but then again the thought of packing for 3 kids and being on the road with the lunatics and all that fun stuff isn't all that appealing.

holley79 replied: Well all depends what goes on with new job. If I dn't start next week then I have to work all weekend. If I do then I will have a three day weekend and will probably have a BBQ.

A&A'smommy replied: I'm going to a tim mcgraw and faith hill concert friday night and the rest of the weekend I probably wont do anything

Back on topic, not much. Probably a BBQ @ SIL's on Monday.

coasterqueen replied: Well my hopes are that we get some things done to get ready for our vacation on June 8. So that would mean getting new tires, oil change, buying camping supplies and buying a rooftop cargo bag for the van. Other than that I hope to have some spending money left over to get some more bushes for my land. Otherwise it will be a boring weekend of all these projects sitting here not getting done because of money.

We will go to my grandpa/grandma's gravesite and I hope to talk Ryan into taking us to his grandpa/aunt's gravesite. He's only gone once, so I really hope I can convince him we need to go this year.

Other than that hopefully a family cookout last minute and lots and lots of fun with my girls and hubby. Oh, Kylie and I convinced daddy to put up the pool too.

ETA that Dh and I are going out w/o the kids on Friday night for our anniversary too. My parents are keeping the girls overnight.

Maybe a bbq at my Dad's house with my brother and his girlfriend and her kids. DH has a 3 day weekend and I'm really just looking forward to family time even if we just stay home!!

lisar replied: We are going camping. I dont wanna go but I promised everyone else I would go. I just think its to hot.

5littleladies replied: We don't really have any plans. I hope to set the tents up on Saturday to see what repairs if any, they need. We leave for our camping trip in a little over 3 weeks so my mind is all wrapped up in that. Other than that not much. I think we may head to my grandpa's cabin on Monday, for possibly the last time ever (long story).
