Men are the biggest BABIES!!! - I hate it when they are sick....

When I'm sick, like really sick..when I had whooping cough, did I get any sympathy? NO!!! I still had to go to work, take care of the baby, clean the house, wash HIS clothes, make dinner...I didn't get to rest or get babied.

Seriously, men are such babies when they are sick! Is your DH like this? I'm so glad he's sleeping right now, I can't hear anymore of his whining! Cameron acts better than DH when he's sick, and he IS a baby!


I hope he gets better soon, so we can all have some peace and quiet!

He all of a sudden can't get anything to drink, eat, etc. And I have never heard someone whine like he does. I will have to hear every min. how this hurts or how much longer is he going to feel like this. Forget me doing the same thing. I still have to take care of kids & clean the house. Resting does not happen. Men can be such babies sometimes.

CantWait replied: I totally hear ya. Ron is usually the same way. The last time he was sick though and I thought he was kidding, it actually turned out to be serious. I felt like the biggest S***. Hope he's feeling soon so that you can get a break from his whining.

luvmykids replied: We just went through this ... DH whines sooo bad and has to make sure I don't sleep any better than he does! AAAALLLLLLLLL night long he moans and groans and calls my name, and he's constantly whining "Why are you so mean to me?" I take darn good care of him but please do not tell me I'm mean when I have 3 CHILDREN to deal with! When I'm sick I get my own medicine, get my own juice, nobody starts a warm bath for me and I still have all the usual stuff to deal with!

Anyway, yes men are babies when they're sick.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Oh absolutely. Over the past 20 days, I have worked 17 of them. And for the 3 days I had off, Aaron was out of town and I had Logan to wrangle all the time. Then on Wednesday night, Aaron crawls into bed after midnight and tells me he is feeling really sick. Ok, I have to go to work at 6am and you woke me up to tell me you were sick? So I call the house on Thursday morning to tell him that Logan's antibiotic is in the fridge and the dose is already ready for the morning. And he tells me, "I don't know if I am going to go to work. I feel really bad. Can you come home and take Logan to daycare so I can sleep?" WTH!?! #1, I am at work already, #2 we are short staffed so I can't leave until at least 1:30, #3 I have been alternating the sit and kneel sick and still had to stay home with Logan and take care of him. What a complete turd.

Yes, my DH has a cold too. The world is coming to an end at my house these days; the poor poor thing!:emlaugh: I would rather have a houseful of sick kids than let that man come home with a headache. I love him with all my heart, but he is the biggest BABY I have!

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: My Dh is the same way. I purposefully tried to whine as much as he did when I got his flu and he got all annoyed after about 10 minutes asking me why I was so whiney He apparently didn't like it so I told him to STOP ACTING THAT WAY. Hopefully it works.

But I have to say, he's been known to go to work sick and help out with the kids while sick a lot of the time, too. He's also takes care of me when I am bad sick. Other than treating me like I have the plague (he doesn't want to get sick...lol), he'll fix anything and get me anything as long as he doesn't have to stay with me in the room. Normally he calls my mom to come over and she takes care of everything, especially if he needs to work.

But overall, he's pretty good to me when I am sick

mummy2girls replied: Aron isnt my hubby but he has whined to me when he was sick before. he be in bed just thinking he is dieing of some kind of fatal illness. Asking me to come over and please make him juice as he cant get out of bed But when I am sick with the flu and literally cannot get ut of bed he doesnmt help me. so with the stomach bug im taking care of jenna, cleaninmg, and cooking. UGH! I hope to god my SO is not like this...LOL

C&K*s Mommie replied: Chris is whiny, but he turns up the Nyquil bottle and chugs half of it, in hopes of getting better. It does not make him drowsy, but he takes naps in order to rest. But before the nap..... I have to hear it!! WHINE, WHINE, WHINE!!!

At least the girls are better at composing themselves, then he is!

I have to admit though when I have been sick. He helped me out alot. So I really can't complain to much.
