Messed up my interview - so disappointed in myself

Hello Marie, you just went through this a year ago in school and did it perfect, no not today, I told them everything that was already on my resume, things they could see already. I don't even care if I get the job or not, just thought the opportunity had presented itself, so I applied, I really want to stay home with the kids, but I want money also (and I suck at childcare). This was pretty much part time only so it would have been pretty good. If I had done my very best, and not got the job, it really wouldn't have bothered me, but I didn't do my best and it kills me.

amynicole21 replied: We're always much harder on ourselves than others. Who knows - they may surprise you and offer you the job! I think they are probably just trying to get a feel for your personality with those kinds of questions really. I mean, what do they want to know, that you like counted cross-stitching or play water polo on weekends? Really.

Remember, we are our own worst critics also, so they may not have seen your interview int he same light that you are reviewing it in!!!!

Maddie&EthansMom replied: ITA with Amy. I bet you did just fine. Don't beat yourself up over it. I also hate that question. They really just want you to talk and get a feel for your personality..as was already stated. They know you are nervous.

J-rod replied: most of the time its not "what" you say...rather than "how" you say it. they dont care exactly what you tell them...they just seeing how you react and how you present yourself..... keep ya chin up...may still get it. i said the word "sex" in an interview once on accident and still got the job

Holly I couldn't come up with a single intelligent answer to any of their questions, not that there were many to begin with. I was only in there for 20 also. My performance was the worst ever.
