Michael Jackson had a heart attack
mckayleesmom wrote: They just announced it on the news.
my2monkeyboys replied: Wow.... I would have thought he was the picture of health.
I'm sorry, I know that wasn't funny. Heart attacks are serious things.
Kentuckychick replied: Oh wow... it's being "reported" that's he's died...
I don't like the guy myself... though I always loved his music, but for the sake of his family and his children, I sure hope this isn't the case!
my2monkeyboys replied: Yep - he died. Now I almost feel bad about my first comment.
moped replied: OMG!!!
moped replied: Where did you read that he has died?
luvbug00 replied: I'm superstitios as crazy and it always goes 3 deaths and a big birth..ed, farrah and michael..not sure who the birth is supposed to be.
very sad though
Kentuckychick replied: it's not confirmed yet... online blogs (who typically have the better inside sources) are reporting his death while the news stations are slower to do so and are saying they will not commit until further notice... all they know is he was taken by EMT's in full cardiac arrest (meaning no heartbeat and no breathing) and that he was taken to this hospital.
mckayleesmom replied: Sarah Jessica Parkers twins were born the other day...does that count?
danahas4monkeys replied: CNN is saying he is in a coma now but not dead.
msoulz replied: Our local news just said ABC is reporting he has died.
Wow, that's two of my childhood icons gone in a day.
I feel very old.
luvbug00 replied: LA times has confirmed the death of micheal jackson..
PrairieMom replied: WOW. This is going to be a "remember where you were when... " moment. Don't even know what to say.
A&A'smommy replied: some say he is in a coma others say he has passed away I don't think anyone knows for sure
my2monkeyboys replied: Like when Princess Di died -- I remember that like it was yesterday.
Kentuckychick replied: Aww... now everyone's reporting he has indeed passed away... my thoughts and prayers to his family and friends... especially to his children. He was probably one of the most famous and most influential individuals of my lifetime.
The world will never forget you Michael, or your music...
*You can change the world - I can't do it by myself. You can touch the sky - It's gonna take somebody's help. I'm gonna need some kinda sign... We can all cry at the same time tonight.*
mckayleesmom replied: Yep..even cnn is reporting it.
jakesmommy08 replied: front page of yahoo has it on there to that he died.
Kentuckychick replied: I think it's been confirmed by spokespeople now... and by friends and family.
RIP...
Swood75 replied: I didn't really care for him (seemed a little weird) but used to LOVE listening to his music and watch him dance..My DH used to have a jacket and glove when he was A LOT younger... He will be missed though..RIP Michael..I wonder what will happen to his 3 kids now though??I think he had custody of all of them...
CantWait replied: Liked his music, but there was definetly something wrong with him. At least (assuming he's not a pediphile, and I assume nothing) he's in a better place now.
Kentuckychick replied: Agreed - I made the personal decision a long time ago after watching his trial and watching him be aquitted that since only he and God know the answer to that... then I leave that in the hands of God.
I think there was definitely something wrong with him though... and I think the "skin condition" was his was of saying... this is what it is and I don't want to talk about it. Michael saw doctors for years... and he died at the age of 50 from what I'm sure we'll find out in a matter of days (hopefully it was natural causes - as natural as causes can be in a 50 year old with so many problems).
For me though, I want to remember Michael as the legend that he was in music. He is quite honestly one, as I mentioned before, the most influential artist of my time and his music was a great gift to a great many.
I flipped on youtube yesterday and played a MJ playlist... I'd honestly forgotten some of the great hits he'd written, that will no doubt be playing for years and years to come.
Danalana replied: "Billy Jean is not my lover...she's just a girl who says that I am her one....but the kid is not my son..."
Hey, tell me you DIDN'T have the Thriller album. Go ahead, I can wait.
cameragirl21 replied: It's very sad, RIP Michael.
My2Beauties replied: Tara I said the same exact thing. Just like the day the towers went down it's one of those moments in history where you'll always remember what you were doing and where you were. My dad said he remembers the day Elvis died like that too.
jcc64 replied: For me, it was the day John Lennon died--before which most of you were even alive. I was a sophomore sitting in my English class when this drama queen girl burst in, hysterical, and announced the news. Whenever the topic of his death comes up, I think of that stupid girl's face.
DVFlyer replied: Love his music.... amazing how many hits he's had since his first day as a performer.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: Did you go to school with my mom? She has a similar story!
Honestly can't say I am upset about Micheal Jackson...I am a child of the 80's, had all his albums. In recent years I thought him to be not much more than a freak show of his own making and quite possibly a powerful predator against the children he claimed to want to help.....Like someone else said only God knows. Seriously don't think it is worthy of 2 days of news coverage but so many things aren't!
jcc64 replied:
How old is your mom, Abbie? I can't believe I'm as old as people's parents on here!!
JessC replied: I heard about this.... very sad! Im going to pay thriller later.
RIP
Celestrina replied: You took the words right out of my mouth (or would it be typed them right out of my fingers?). When my mom and I were watching the news last night 45 minutes out of an hour were dedicated to MJ. Yes, he was an influential artist and can understand why they did a special on him, but did they have to dedicate that much of the news to him?
