Mommy brag?

C&K*s Mommie wrote: Are your children doing anything new these days, that you would like to brag on?? Let's share the good news. wub.gif

mom2my2cuties replied: Well all at once Andy has learned all her colors, including obscure ones like chartruse... rolleyes.gif

Also she has all of a sudden clicked with number recognition up to 9 (double digits confuse her) and she will count with us (we are up to 20) and the alphabet sort of. She has letter recognition down, but wont "say" the alphabet to me. She will tell me what the lettters are

Our Lil' Family replied: Well Thomas can count with us to 10....not clearly though, in Thomasese as I call it. He also says Thank You without prompting!!

Calimama replied: Bella played in exersaucer for the first time today.. (she's been too small for it). wub.gif

Nina J replied: Odessa learnt how to give high fives..well, kind of. I hold my hand up and say high five and she touches my hand.

Emily can spell Odessa, I say "Spell Odessa" and she says "O-D-E-S-S-A", or if she's in a lazy mood, "D-E-S". Now she's trying to learn how to spell Desi-Jean, but she's not there yet. She can't remember the j-e-a in Jean.

mom21kid2dogs replied: OK, I'm shameless!! blush.gif

My daughter was in her school Christmas program last night and she is incredible on stage. She is so focused and into it. They told me at our PT conference in October that she had a pretty big part~had to learn 5 songs~but that she was so good they had no doubt she could do it. None of the other Kindergarteners had any singing parts except carols. BTW, by last night she knew all 8 songs (and the motions) as well as most of the dialog for most of the charachters. She also had to do some acting, which was a total suprise to us. Here are a couple of pics. OK, I'm done (but darn proud!!).

She's the one in the print apron

mom21kid2dogs replied: And one more . . . .

CantWait replied: Olivia looks so beautiful. She looks very focused in deed.

No brags here right now. We're still working on colours, and numbers with Anthony.

I've done a lot of bragging about Robbie lately.

MommyToAshley replied: Olivia looks beautiful! Looks like she may have a career in theatre or the big screen. wink.gif That's pretty impressive that she memorized all that!

Ashley had her program Friday as well. I should have read this post first as I did all my braggin in another thread. blush.gif

amymom replied: Ok I will brag....

Billy is working on a project for his Business Management course and is creating an imaginary business that is a skateboard park. He is making a commercial for it and everything. He hopes that after he gets a good grade on it, he can present it to the town and maybe they will create a toned down version of it.
Billy got a 100 on his report card for Biology and over 90 for all but two of his courses.
He has a girl friend and just today bought her a Christmas present. That just makes me feel like he is getting too old. ohmy.gif Billy and his friends built the stable and manger for our Church's 1st Christmas pageant. And they set up for the show and party that was afterwards. Then when noone showed up to clean up, they returned to the church to clean up. They really are a good group of kids!! Oh yeah when we needed to stall for time, since the audience was ready but the kids weren't they sang (unrehearsed) Christmas carols to use up some time. Imagine a group of 15 & 16 year olds singing to a packed audience!! rolling_smile.gif

Mary Beth got straight A's on her report card. Her hockey team was in a tournament this past weekend and came in 2nd place. The coach moved her to offense last week and said that he is really proud of how well she is doing. (she has been a defenseman for 3 years.) He said he has her showing the other players where the positions are. And they have each been playing forward (offense) for 2,3 or 4 years!!! Mary Beth was a shephard in the Christmas pageant at church.

Thanks for the opportunity to Brag!!! biggrin.gif

ediep replied: I'll brag too...

Check out what Jason made without any help

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Naomie has a very expansive vocabulary. She can say:

Bye-Bye, No, Ho Ho Ho, Ball, Yes, Thank you (ta-tooo), Up

And the french version of:
Down, Up, All done, No more, Sleep, Eat, Diaper, Milk, Juice

She can also point to her eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair, head, hands, feet, belly, bum, she obeys small commands such as go get your shoes, give me your hand

and the funniest is she frowns at me and makes an angry face when I tell her "no". laugh.gif

Emilie's thought process astounds me sometimes... like this morning, she told dh that "mommy is never wrong" when he told me i was wrong about something... emlaugh.gif

Zach makes his own bed as soon as his feet touch the floor in the mornings, and picks up all his toys before bed without being asked. wub.gif

J-rod replied: daddy brag in here

stella6979 replied: Avery has finally grasped the concept of waving goodbye. Now, as I'm leaving for work, I can see her cute little hand waving at me from our door.

ZandersMama replied: Zavier is 6 lbs!

Zander is singing along with Crazy Frog songs ( I dont know if thats something to brag about though blush.gif tongue.gif ) But he has an amazing memory.

TheOaf66 replied: well not a "mommy" brag but Tanner last week made a decision for himself. Jennie was gone somewhere and during dinner Tanner told me "daddy, I think I watched enough TV today so I don't think I should watch anymore, I should just play"...usually we have to tell him that laugh.gif

flirtycuddle replied: Jackie's finally starting to talk more and can count to 4 without any prompting and can also point to her own and everyone elses body parts. She helps feed her baby brother and when time for bed will say ni ni and go lay in her bed and go to sleep.

Will has been sitting up unassited for a few weeks, can get on all 4's and lunge foward, hold his own bottle, and is only waking 1 time to eat instead of 3.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Wil is talking really well now! He repeats words that we say, two-syllable words even! Which is a huge accomplishment! He says "Wes-leee" and "tank-you" and several other cute words. I love it!

Wesley is rolling all over the place and almost sitting up. wub.gif

holley79 replied: Annika has figured out there are boxes wrapped in paper under the tree and she points at each of them and says, "Me?" emlaugh.gif blink.gif

lisar replied: Well Lexi is at the top of her class on her reading level. She is reading on a grade level 2 and she is only in kindergarden. I am SO proud of her. Raygen has learned how to count to 3. She also has a vocabulary like I cant believe. Thats all that I can think of right this moment.

C&K*s Mommie replied: WOW! You moms and dads (sorry dads to not include you in the post title blush.gif ) have many things to be proud of for your little ones. It is speaking volumes about you all as parents to have children that have accomplished so much.

clapsmiley.gif way to go for each child and their accomplishments!!
