Mommy's Night out.
holley79 wrote: Saturday I was feeling like total dog poo. My head was so stopped up I could hardly breath. (Still like that right now. ) Anyway, my sister had her baby shower Saturday afternoon and my Aunt was up visiting from Orlando. We had just been talking about Bingo while we were down there last weekend. Well jokingly I asked her if she wanted to go to the Bingo hall. She said sure and my mom jumped all over the chance to keep Annika. We were only gone for about 3 hours but it was so much fun. I am defiantly going again, DH just doesn't know it yet. While Annika was with mom she was watching my dad take the tables apart. She had been watching him unscrew the wing nuts so started unscrewing them also. She also wanted the tool he was using. I hate that I missed that. Mom said she wouldn't have believed it had she not seen it. Oh babes are growing up too quickly.
When was the last time you had a mommy's night out? What do you do on your mommy's night out? Speaking of Bingo, do you ever go play?
mckayleesmom replied: My last moms day out was with You and Nicole at the Outlet mall.....
holley79 replied: Ok, that is WAY too long. We need to remedy that. Bingo was a LOT of fun. We have to go.
lisar replied: I have been to bingo like twice in my life. But I did like to watch the ole ladies (really old ladies) they get into man. Real bad. It was funny. I cant remember the last time I had a Mommies night out. The last time we had an adult night out we ended up getting like 5 tickets cause we were in a national forest at night. I wont go into detail about why we got the tickets but there were 6 of us and apparently we found out some rules about the forest that we didnt know. Nothing to bad, but we could have went to jail. The cops were cool though. We wont ever be going back to jennings forest. LOL... We had fun though.
C&K*s Mommie replied: to the outlet mall.
A parenting group is having a moms night out next week, I am not sure if I can make it then or not but that will be the first in awhile for me if I can make it.
TheOaf66 replied: holley, I am going on a business trip next week and staying at a casino resort that has bingo, any tips on it, I am going to try and win some money
holley79 replied: Troy, the casino Bingo can be as easy or complicated as you make it. I know they have "soft card" bingo and computer bingo. The computer Bingo will call the bingo for you. The casino bingo gets a little pricey. If you really want to make some cash at the casino, Craps table is where it's at.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I can't even remember. That is sad. Aaron goes out at least twice a week and to the gym nearly every day and I can't even go out for a few drinks with my friends. I need to fix that. Thinking back, I think the last time I went out was on my birthday. Man, that was 3, almost 4, months ago.
coasterqueen replied: Ooooh I'd LOVE to go play Bingo. My mom used to go all the time and I told her to hook me up, but she never called.
As far as mommy's night out? I got one last Thursday. It was really a "work event" per se....it was the lobbyist guy's birthday and so we took him out for Happy Hour and I ended up staying WAY past happy hour. It was fun!
Every other Tuesday I get to bowl on a league. So I guess you could call that a mommy's night out.
Dh gets a "daddy's night out" every Wednesday, plus every other Tuesday (opposite of me) he bowls on the same league. So some weeks he gets two nights out. I'm not that priveleged.
kimberley replied: i am so glad you got out! good for you!
i haven't had a mommy night out in a long time and generally only go out 2-3 times a year without kids sucks when no one wants to babysit and i just don't trust a stranger until the kids are able to talk.
when the boys were little a couple of the girls in my building dragged me out to bingo a few times. it was fun but stressful lol. i prefer going for a couple of drinks and chatting with friends.
CantWait replied: Glad you had a fun time Holley, you deserve it.
It's been quite a while since I've had a mommy's night out. Going on a year I'd say.
Our Lil' Family replied: I had Mommy's Night Out less than 2 weeks ago. We had dinner and stayed there talking for the longest time! It was SO NICE!
holley79 replied: Ok ladies I think I am going to petition the goverment to make an honorary every second Friday of the month is Mommy Night Out. No exceptions made. Daddies or someone has to step up to the plate and "take over".
My2Beauties replied: Girl DH and I just went to Bingo on Saturday night. His family has "family night" at Bingo every Saturday, we take up 4-5 tables sometimes! LOL! We have a ball. I don't like the smoke though, my clothes wreak when I leave that place! So that was a mommy and daddy's night out. Then the weekend before that I went to Bingo with a girlfriend, we were gonna out to a club but it got late and my preggo butt didn't feel like getting depressed putting on my club jeans and we were both sort of not feeling it, so we went to Bingo. Before that, let's see it was a couple weekends ago we went out to a club. We do something every Saturday night, mom keeps the kiddo!
coasterqueen replied: Where do I sign?
Calimama replied: My husband and I try to have a night out every weekend. It's hard because I miss her sooo much, and he's a Marine so he never has a set schedule. But I feel sooo much more relaxed when we get home, so we try to stick to it.
holley79 replied: Well you do know the ends and outs of the political world. Do you think it would go through?
Bellasmommy10, Welcome to PC.
It is very important for all mommies to get out. I was totally stressed and I can not believe the difference it has made on my week this week. It's like a total weight has been lifted and I don't feel like I work 24/7 since I got that little break. It's awesome.
Nic and Bri we HAVE to go out!
coasterqueen replied: well there are a lot more women in the political field now so my guess is we could get a lot of votes, but money talks, I think we'd be in trouble on that part.
If I was gonna do this I'd also ask for a week off of work for AF. No one should have to leave the house or do anything during AF.
holley79 replied: ITA with you on that one. There are a lot of high powered women out there but not compared to the male counterpart. You never know though.
Calimama replied: Thanks!!
CantWait replied: I know the feeling girl. My dh is in the military also, but I swear it keeps you sain to get out once in awhile. I see your little one is still small, give it some time when she's into everything and driving you nutts. You'll be begging for a minute alone. Welcome to PC.
kimberley replied: you made stuff come out my nose LOL!
