Monitors
HuskerMom wrote: Can monitors pick up stuff from somewhere else? I thought I heard something on Keith's monitor just now so I turned it all the way up and it sounded like some easy listening radio station or something. I don't know where it would be coming from, there's no radio on in the house. I only heard it for a few minutes, now it's gone. It's kind of creeping me out.
luvmykids replied: I think so, they're not secure frequencies like a cordless phone or something. Does yours have different channels or a tuner knob of some sort? I remember with the twins, I think it was a Graco, having to fiddle with it depending on where I was in the house.
redchief replied: Joni,
We've traced the call and it's coming from SOMEWHERE IN YOUR HOUSE!
HuskerMom replied: Yeah there's two different channels, I don't know what the difference is though.

luvmykids replied: If you hear it again, try changing channels, I'm sure it's just picking up another frequency. I don't remember for sure but it seems like it might have helped to change the batteries when that happened too.
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: ROFL !!!
HuskerMom replied: So do I have to change the channel on the one upstairs or on the one is his room too so they're on the same channel? Sorry I know nothing about these things. It's plugged in so I don't have to use batteries.
luvmykids replied: I don't remember I think just the one on the portable one? Or both? I'm helpful, huh?
HuskerMom replied: That's ok, I'll try both ways! Thanks!
PrairieMom replied: yes, they totally can. All my neighbors had littleones at the same time, at we could all hear each other on our baby monitors.
ZandersMama replied: yup, i got in trouble like that before
jacobsmama replied: Yep you can pick up lots of other things it is carzy! If you change them like channel 1 or 11 you have to set both to same one. So if the one in babys room is on 1 your monitor has to be on 1 too. Good luck!
