More questions about Contractions/cramps - sorry to be a pain

grapfruit replied: Ok, I've never had a baby, so I can't be certain. But from what I've heard, that sounds like LABOR pains! That's exactally what my SIL described to my other SIL who jumped up and yelled for her to get to the hospital (over the phone). Could that be it??????

That is why I am questioning it....you would think that if I was in labor then it would start getting worse, but it isn't...it is bad enough to grip onto something but not bad enough to make me think something is up? And I only have to grip sometimes, not all the time.....Make sense???

how often do you get the pains? how long do they last? do they start out weak, get stronger then get weak again? does you belly get hard when they happen?

contractions don't have to be real regular to be the real thing, mine never got regular with either of my pregnancies.

indywndy_04 replied: My stomach does get ROOOOCK hard, forms into a peak even. But with the menstrul cramps it goes right along with my low back pain...they arent consistant but stay around 5 -20 minutes, never more then 20 minutes without having the cramps and hardness on my stomach, it actually changes the shape of my stomach because it gets so hard.

PrairieMom replied: I would maybe call the Dr and see if you can get a non stress test, maybe you aren't gonna make it to your c-section date.

My doctor said to call when contractions were every five minutes.

But I don't know if that happens in everyone's case.

3xsthefun replied: I would go get checked out now! Just to be on on the safe side! It really sounds like you are not going make it to your scheduled csection.

my2monkeyboys replied: I agree... I'd call the doctor. They may just be Braxton Hicks, but it could be sure-enough real labor pains. (I know, BH cotractions aren't supposed to hurt, but I had them for about a week and they certainly did.)
I'd run it by the nurse just to be safe.

I am still feeling the same....but, I called the doctor and he said call him back when they are every 5 minutes. UGH!

No, no baby yet.... I am starting to wonder if maybe I have a bladder infection or something to make me have all of these contractions and menstrul cramps???

I get my last u/s tomorrow, doctor appt. Wed, last day of work Thursday, and another doctor appt. Friday along with pre-op to discuss everything that will happen on Monday. I have finally hit the HOME STRETCH!!! YEAHH!! I can not decide what is better....my last day of work being Thursday or having a baby! haa haa Of course I am kidding but you have NO IDEA how glad I am to be off from work for 3 months!!!!!
