Movie Spinoff-Enchanted
luvmykids wrote: Has anyone else seen it? My mom took me and the girls Sunday afternoon and I really loved it...the animated parts are so classic, like Cinderella, and the live parts were really cute. I'm curious to know what some of you think b/c I've heard a lot of people who either loved it or hated it. Personally I thought it was great
MommyToAshley replied: Did the girls like it? I want to take Ashley to see it but didn't know if it was too old for her.
luvmykids replied: They did, Kylie more than Macie. The stepmom/witch is pretty scary, I thought, and Macie agreed But Kylie was fascinated at the concept of the cartoon princess coming to life. She was a little confused at the end, she said she was with the wrong guy But she already asked when we can buy the DVD
Jamison'smama replied: I loved it and so did Jamison. I agree--the Animated part was very sweet and so typical Disney. The non-animated was clever too. I loved trying to figure out what movies they were referencing.
luvmykids replied: And it never hurts for the moms that Dr McDreamy is in it
mom21kid2dogs replied: Olivia really liked it but personally, it didn't grab me the way it has other people. I have no idea why, either. It was well made, well written and cutesy. I guess I couldn't suspend my rational mind to grasp the concept. Some parts of it did have me laughing out loud, though.
Parts of it were pretty intense and one scene found Olivia jumping into my lap and holding on to me. I'd be on the fence to take a child who hasn't been exposed to much fantasy violence. For us, O might have been a little young at 5 because she just had so little exposure to it. If you take a younger child, you might want to let them know a few scenes are kinda scary.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Excuse my ignorance here, but is that guy the Dad in NYC? He IS a total hottie!!!
(No, we don't live under a rock, but close to it. We almost never watch TV so I don't know who Dr. McDreamy is )
Kaitlin'smom replied: Kaitlin wants to go see it, as do I we tried but never could work on thankgiving break.
MommyToAshley replied: Ashley would be scared too then, as she isn't exposed to much violence either. We've filtered a lot of her television viewing. She's scared of Ursala in the Little Mermaid, and had nightmares about crocodiles after watching Peter Pan.
luvmykids replied: Yes, I don't watch Grey's Anatomy but can see where he makes it worth watching
coasterqueen replied: I wanted to take Kylie but I was afraid with the non-animated parts that she wouldn't like it. The only non-animated movie I know she likes is Shark Boy and Lava Girl.
luvmykids replied: I was really suprised, the girl who plays the real princess was ideal for it...I even caught myself thinking she was a Disney princess
A&A'smommy replied: so does anyone think my 4 year old would like it.. I think it would be a lot of fun to take Alyssa, plus I have been dying to see it!!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: A girlfriend and I went last weekend. I loved it. And thought it was hysterical.
5littleladies replied: I'm glad to hear that Brianna isn't the only one who doesn't like non-animated or as she calls it "Real people" movies. But she likes Shark Boy and Lava Girl too.
My brother took the older 2 to see it (I would have let Bri go, but again it was "real people" so she didn't want to ) and they loved it but one of them said it was kind of "weird" at the same time. I really want to see it.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: Thats why I want to see it so bad!! But it really does look like a cute movie besides him being in it!! I cant wait for it to come out on dvd
Crystalina replied: I'm taking Bella to see it. She saw the preview when we went to see 'The Bee Movie' and she can't wait.
