Music!
mommy~to~a~bunch wrote: What music do your kids like? Right now, my kids are loving Raffi!! I must admit I like it more than they do, probably because I remember listening to him when I was younger. Our favorite songs are Must Be Santa, Shake My Sillies Out, Down By The Bay, Mr. Sun, & Willoughby Wallaby Woo. Even Abby will get in the groove & try to dance. Talk about CUTE .
lisar replied: Well Lexi is really into Hannah Montana and High school Musical and she asked me last night for Taylor Swift.
bawoodsmall replied: Aiden will dance to his Kindermusik CD but he would still prefer Mickey Mouse Clubhouse any day. Emily loves this Carole Peterson cd they have at daycare. It has this song on it called STICKY BUBBLE GUM. It has the movements and stuff. It is way to cute.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Hairspray (she has it ALL memorized), 102 Bible Songs for Kids (talk about a dicotomy!! ), Hannah Montana, Cheetah Girls Christmas (yes, STILL)
luvbug00 replied: HSM, hannah girl thing.., um she LOVES musicals I currently have her hooked on wicked Umm she likes everything on th radio. we don't really sensor music so whatever we jam to she does too.
Jamison'smama replied: Jamison likes Hannah Montana, HSM, Cheetah Girls and her Disney Cd's with a variety of Disney songs. Jack likes Diego and HSM. They both really like the John Lithgow Cd's, Sunny Side of the Street and Singin' in the Bathtub.
austins mom replied: My son was into kids bop cd's.
TheOaf66 replied: tanner pretty much likes anything with a beat
Aiden's favorite is Walk the Line Soundtrack
A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa likes pretty much anything but she doesn't really listen to her kid cds or kid music very well.. I try to get her to but she doesn't have much interest in it although all day yesterday she sang the little Indian song it drove me crazy but I encouraged her anyway
grapfruit replied: Wicked rules! What GREAT taste in Musical Miss Mya has!
lovemy2 replied: Olivia likes alot of different stuff - mostly still her Dora Dance CD
Dylan - well he is mostly into the theme song from General Hospital
Brias3 replied: Aliyah loves musical soundtracks too!
My kids aren't much into "kids" music so much- they like songs with a beat and will basically listen to what I listen to. Mason's been hooked on the Happy Feet soundtrack since it came out what seems like forever ago
Ryan loves Coldplay and Maroon 5, Aliyah's been listening to alot of the Evita soundtrack (she dug that one out of some old CD's), Colbie Caillat's Coco cd, the Wicked soundtrack is ALWAYS in the player and she also likes Fergie's The Duchess.
I do monitor what the kids listen to of course, but most of the time, we'll purchase the edited versions of most songs off iTunes so it's typically ok to let them listen to a variety.
luvmykids replied: Colt is into the "sports jams", like Eye of the Tiger, Final Countdown, etc by all those 80's groups
Kylie and Macie both love Disney soundtracks, and Kylie is getting into some Hannah Montana.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Wellw e listen to all kinds here.. I AM a music teacher.. lol
they dont' havea particular favorite, I don't think.. but when i clean I like listening to Eminem and I shake my booty around while cleaning... and so does Naomie.
MommyToAshley replied: This is Ashley exactly. HSM is usually her first choice. She also has a CD from VBS that she plays a lot. And, if the radio is on, she likes the country station. She's actually converted me, I listen to country now too.
A&A'smommy replied: haha I'm glad I'm not the only one that listens to that kind of music while i clean.. I turn on fuse and listen to whatever is on there Alyssa usually dances around with me
Boo&BugsMom replied: Both of our boys LOVE music. I come from an extremely musical background so I'm glad they both got bit by the music bug. Well, ok Aiden is still young, but he loves to dance and listen to it so that's a start. I went to school for music performance, it's in my blood. The kids don't really like "kids" music much either. Tanner loves his Kidz Bop cd's, but they love things that are more rock than anything else, esp. Tanner. When we turn the stereo on in the dining room, Aiden crawls up to it and gets all excited. Tanner can sing, in key and in tune and everything, so I hope I can give him voice lessons myself within the next couple years. Generally, our home has a mish-mash of different music styles and the boys listen to pretty much everything, unless it is inappropriate for them.
