Music that Describes your reltionship? - ???

tenorcharm wrote: Hello everyone, Im new to the board and I just wanted to hello first and foremost.

I was just curious to see what artist or song might describe your relationship with your husband/boyfriend or wife/girlfriend.

For me it has to be as of late, Ronan Tynan from Ireland. My husband and I were having some problems and then my friend who works at umvd turned me onto Ronan and I havent been able to get enough of his music. His song, The Eyes of Love, is truly wonderful. He has such an amazing voice and can make you feel the words he is singing. You guy should really check him out when you get a chance, and let me know what you think.

What music describes your relationship?

loveydad replied: I've been thinking about this today. It's God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flats I think. My favorite part goes:

Every long lost road
let me to where you are
others who broke my heart
they were like northern stars
guiding me on my way
into your loving arms,
this much I know, is true,
God Bless the Broken Road,
that led me straight to you...

Cause it's so true. I had crappy relationships before this one.

DVFlyer replied: Vig,

Have you ever heard the song by The Offspring called "Shes got issues". After reading your last post and then seeing this one, it could easily be applied to your ex. biggrin.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: Mine is By Metallica Nothing Else Matters

Nothing else matters

So close no matter how far
Couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don’t just say
And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

So close no matter how far
Couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don’t just say
And nothing else matters

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters

Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know

So close no matter how far
Couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No nothing else matters

atlantamomof2 replied: It's got to be "Before Your Love" by Kelly Clarkston: wub.gif

I wonder how I ever make it through a day
How did I settle for the world in shades of gray
When you go in circles all the scenery looks the same
And you don't know why
And I looked into your eyes
Where the road stretched out in front of me
And I realized

I'd never lived
Before your love
I'd never felt
Before your touch
And I'd never needed anyone
To make me feel alive
But then again,
I wasn't really livin'

I'd never lived...
Before your love wub.gif

Just the other night
A hometown football game
My wife nd I ran into
My old high school flame
And as I introduced them
The past came back to me
And I couldn't help but
Think of the way
Things used to be
She was the one that
I'd wanted for all times
And each night
I'd spend prayin' that
God would make her mine
And if he'd only grant me
This wish I wished back then
I'd never ask for anything again

Sometimes I thank God
For unanswered prayers
Remember when you're
Talkin' to the man upstairs
That just because
He doesn't answer
Doesn't mean
He don't care
Some of God's greatest gifts
Are unanswered prayers

She wasn't quite the angel that
I remembered in my dreams

And I could tell that
Time had changed me
Inn her eyes too it seemed
We tried to talk
About the old days
There wasn't much
We could recall
I guess the Lord knows
What he's doin' after all

And as she walked away
And I looked at my wife
And then and there
I thanked the good Lord
For the gifts in my life

Sometimes I thank God
For unanswered prayers
Remember when you're
Talkin' to the man upstairs
That just because
He may not answer
Doesn't mean
He don't care
Some of God's greatest gifts
Are unanswered prayers

Some of God's greatest gifts
Are all too often unanswered
Some of God's greatest gifts
Are unanswered prayers

GavinsMommy replied: I'm serious...

Two faced!
I feel you crawling under my skin.
Sickened by your face.
By the way...
To think that your so [beep] kind?
...You ain't!
Hard to find how I feel...
Especially when your smothering me.
Hard to find how I feel...
Please someone help me!
I knew when an angel whispered into my ear...
"You gotta get him away."
Hey little [bleep]!
Be glad you finally walked away...
Or you may have not lived another day.
Hard to find how I feel...
Especially when your smothering me.
Hard to find how I feel...
Please someone help me.
Hard to find how I feel...
Controlling me every step of the way.
Hard to find how I feel...
You greedy little baby!!

-Godsmack

And I can't stand them, but boy does it fit

GavinsMommy replied: wow, we must really hate each other for me to come up w/ that

Josie83 replied: Loads of different songs describe our relationship at different times. but the one song that always always makes me think of Jaosn is this song Hands Down by Dashboard Confessional. especially the chorus, I'll put the lyrics up for you in case you're interested:

Breathe in for luck.
Breathe in so deep.
This air is blessed, you share with me.
This night is wild, so calm and dull.
These hearts, they race, from self-control.
Your legs are smooth, as they graze mine.
We're doing fine.
We're doing nothing at all.

My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me.
So won't you kill me?
So I die happy.
My heart is yours to fill or burst,
to break or bury, or wear as jewelry.
Whichever you prefer.

The words are hushed, "let's not get busted."
Just lay entwined here, undiscovered.
Safe in here from all the stupid questions.
"Hey did you get some?"
Man that is so dumb.
Stay quiet, stay near, stay close, they can't hear.
So we can get some.

My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me.
So won't you kill me?
So I die happy.
My heart is yours to fill or burst,
to break or bury, or wear as jewelry.
Whichever you prefer.

Hands down this is the best day I can ever remember.
Always remember the sound of the stereo.
The dim of the soft lights.
The scent of your hair, that you twirled in your fingers.
And the time on the clock, when we realized "It's so late!"
And this walk that we share together.
The streets were wet, and the gate was locked,
So I jumped it, and let you in.
And you stood at the door, with your hands on my waist.
And you kissed me like you meant it.
And I knew...that you meant it.

xx
