I do the same thing. At the end of summer I stock up on as many flip-flops as possible. Nice ones, cheap ones, it doesn't matter. I just need enough to get me through winter. Yorkies love to eat them. I will wear socks with my flip-flops when it's really cold and DH absolutely hates that. He hates flip-flops all together. He married the wrong woman.
I even made a flip-flop ava. I'm ready for warm weather! 70 something tomorrow but rain. Fine with me. I need to get out.
