My 26 week appt.

PrairieMom wrote: I had my 26 week OB appt this morning. The Doc went over my U/S results with us and said that everything is looking good. Everything measures out to where it should be, and my due dates are matching up. Baby Girl has a strong heart beat and everything is looking as it should. What a relief!

I mentioned to him that I had been having more BH contractions tho, so he checked my cervix and it is starting to buldge already. ohmy.gif So, I am to take it easy, no sex for 2 weeks, dunno.gif (oh well! laugh.gif ) and take advil if I keep having them.
i get to go in again next week and he is going to re-check me. If things are still progressing I get to start terbutaline. Our goal is to cook this kid for about 11 more weeks. so, I guess it's looking like this little one may be showing up a little early!

kimberley replied: sounds like a good appt overall. keep your feet up and hang in there. hug.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: hug.gif hug.gif I hope she stays content in there for a while so you don't have to start the terbutaline. hug.gif I'm glad everything is good otherwise! thumb.gif

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Okay, what is terbutaline? Does it stop contractions? Glad you had a good appt! thumb.gif

PrairieMom replied:
yup. I was on it when I was Prego with The Boy too. I don't remember how far along I was when I started having problems with him tho. A bit farther I think. I have to dig the baby book out again. rolleyes.gif I don't mind being on it. I guess it makes some people jittery and all that, but I don't seem to have problems wiht it. With the boy I stoped taking it at 361/2 weeks and he was born the next day! cool.gif

Nina J replied: I'm glad your appointment went well. I hope she stays put and you don't have to go on the medication. Get plenty of rest smile.gif

CosmetologyMommy replied: awesome! Bought any little girl outfits yet????

PrairieMom replied: yeah, I bought some, but I'm not cutting tags off till this little one comes out a girl! seeing is believing I guess! I still have along way to go before we are ready for her tho! I'm deffinately feeling a little time crunch now.

A&A'smommy replied: UGH well at least everything looks good!! Stay in there baby girl not much longer!! hug.gif ~~~~NO MORE PROGGESSING VIBES FOR 11 WEEKS~~~~ happy.gif but really I'm sending my P&PT'S that shes stays for a while

CAMSMOM1 replied: Hang in there Tara & baby girl! Put your feet up, relax and as soon as you know it, 11 weeks will have flown by. jog.gif I can't believe your 26 wks already! Baby girl, you need to stay put for awhile and give Mama a chance to get ready for you! Keep growing big & strong! hug.gif
Let us know what happens next week. wink.gif

akelly replied: Ooh, sending good vibes your way! Take it easy, and keep us posted!

No doubt! I'm keepin my legs crossed! This kid aint commin out before AT LEAST 32 weeks if I have to spend the whole rest of the time standing on my head! rolling_smile.gif Actually, my contractions have slowed down, I have only had to take the advil twice. I'm down to 2 or 3 contractions a day. thumb.gif

siblingtoolivia replied: As anxious as you may be to get things done, etc., take the time to rest....glad all went well!! Hang in there baby girl! hug.gif
