My DH
PrairieMom wrote: I have been cleaning the house getting ready for all the company we are having this weekend. I was hanging up our nice guest towels, (which happen to be pure white) when I noticed light brown stains on all of them. Dh had used them to clean up Ben's massive bloody nose he had a while back, and stained every last one of them, including the hand towel. Seriously, if you aren't allowed to use the towels to dry off after a shower, what makes you think they can be used to clean up blood? Okay, and even if they weren't just for company, they were WHITE TOWELS! Ugh. I swear, sometimes that man really makes me wonder...

Bee_Kay replied: *sigh*.... men
cameragirl21 replied: men can be so clueless when it comes to these sorts of things. sorry about your white towels, Tara. if they haven't already been washed, i suggest using some spray and wash dual action...i spilled thawed dark cherries all over my white sheets and they were very liquidy and i poured on some of the spray and wash and it came right out like it was never there. obviously if the blood is dried on it's harder but the stuff works wonders, trust me on that. of course if you've already washed the towels then it's too late. sorry about the mess though.
1lilpeanut2love replied: HAHAAAAAAHAH
Calimama replied: Maybe he just grabbed whatever he could because the blood? When I see blood I dont always react great either. I hope they get cleaned!
Boo&BugsMom replied: Hummm...sounds like something Troy would do! He doesn't get it when it comes to that stuff and he certainly doesn't understand why there are "special towels".
mom2my2cuties replied: Tara - given your profession, I am sure you already know this - but all might not be lost...you can possibly use A LOT (and I say that because the towels have probably been washed since the stains are brown long dried blood) of peroxide will help.
On another note - with two kids and a husband, have you lost your facalities trying to have pure white anything I am just teasing in case you couldn't tell - my kids and husband prevent us from having anything solid white in our house.
lisar replied: MEN...
PrairieMom replied: Very very true.
The towels are a lost cause, the stains aren't that bad, but you can deffinately tell they are there. I won't even mention what has happened to my white bathroom rugs... yeeeaaaahhhhh, with a potty training toddler? Well, and I guess men in general... not my brightest move.
Swood75 replied: Have you tried soaking them in Bleach water??(mostly bleach though)I have had to do that a few times with really dirty/dingy shirts and it usually works very well..HTH
MyLuvBugs replied: Gosh I'm so glad I'm not the only one that gets PO'd when my husband messes with my guest towels. I Swear DH loves to just go in there and mess them up on purpose, then he wonders why I get so ticked that they are messy when guests arrive. MEN! (Sorry guys)
mom2my2cuties replied: I did this to my lab coats after class....I used to come home looking like a murderer every day just about And since I was lazy I wouldn't put them in the wash until the next afternoon (yeah I know but when you get home at 11 every night - it was just too much to do a wash tha late.)
Cece00 replied: I'd try peroxide and bleach to clean them...or lay them out in the sun. I've been able to get blood of out clothing before trying these.
PrairieMom replied: Sun?! whats that? its November in SD, I won't see the sun again for 6 months. Actually, I think I will try soaking them in bleach water in the wash for a while to see if that helps. I have time for that before the guests arrive.
Grr Dh... I should make him pay for those towels out of his allowance.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I won't even ask!!
mom2my2cuties replied:
I missed that until you said that
Kaitlin'smom replied: oy, you know sometimes I can get set in stains out. maybe you can try..
CantWait replied: I missed that one also, but ummmm WOW is all I can say.
PrairieMom replied: Yeah, I was wondering too... but didn't have the guts to ask.
