My German Shepard - lovemy2 here ya go

lisar wrote: Okay keep in mind he was 10months old when I got him and he didnt have the best home before us. When we got him he was kept on a chain that he couldnt even stand up it was so short. When we got him home we noticed that he couldnt strectch out his back legs cause he wasnt ever allowed to stand. After months of working with him he is now as healthy as can be. He is 16 months old now. He is CRAZY. He is an escape artist. Electric fence was nothing to him. He would grap and just shale his back legs like it was a tickle. He literally climbs a fence. So he is on a chain with a LONG runner. Even though he is on a chain it is set up to where he cant get tangled and he has LOTS of room to run. He is let off the chain everyday to play with us and run around and all that good stuff. He is a sweet dog. He loves Raygen and Raygen loves him. He walks around beside Raygen as she holds onto his hair.

luvmykids replied: He's a very handsome guy wub.gif Bogie could care less about electric fence too, he doesn't even notice it rolleyes.gif

lisar replied:
Yea I know I think its funny. Ever since we realized that is did nothing to stop him or deter him away from them we just unhooked them. He would literally grab them with his mouth and shake his one back leg like it tickled him and then just go over them like it was nothing. So we dont even bother trying with that now.

luvmykids replied: Love his name too thumb.gif

lisar replied:
Thanks my best friend named him. We want to get another one that is a girl and name her Dixie. LOL..... (yes can you tell they are all Rednecks)

Danalana replied: Beautiful dog! I was actually attacked by a German Shepherd when I lived in Mexico, so I sometimes feel a little fear when I am around one...but I never show it and I just talk myself out of it. I know they usually aren't aggressive, as far as their nature goes...it was just a freak thing.

lisar replied:
Oh sorry to hear about that. Yea with all dogs it depends on how you raise them, and who raised them and all that. Its like bulldogs they have a bad rep however my aunt has 3 that wouldnt hurt a thing. They let Raygen climb all over them and they will just lay there they love it.

lovemy2 replied: He is beautiful and it makes me so sad to know people do things like that to animals - I have always had such an affection for German Shepherds - I grew up with them - I cna see how people could be afraid of them - they are loud and imposing when they bark, etc. but mine is the gentlest giant I know and is a dream with my kids - sometimes I think she loves them more than I do.....here she is....

lisar replied:
She is beautiful.
