For those of you familliar his pulse ox level was 87. It stayed there even after two breathing treatments . He is now hooked up to oxygen and doing better, his pulse ox is now 97.
Poor boy hates the mask thing but I don't think I would want anything up my nose either!
moped replied: Oh gosh, is he doing ok?????
CantWait replied: Hope he gets better soon.

PrairieMom replied: Don't be scared, 87 is lower than we like to see, but not dangerous. Having the oxygen on will make him more comfortable. Sounds like you will be there for a few days. FWIW, don't expect the nebs to help with the oxygen, they won't, or if they do, it will only be for a few minutes. It will just take time.
Sounds like this is going ot be a bad year for RSV. it seems to be hitting early.
Mommy2Isabella replied: BOO the Dr. came in this morning and said we won't be leaving until at least THURSDAY I was hoping for tomorrow morning. She said plan for 7 days! So we are prepared for that just kind of stinks! He is bored, we can't let him play in the play area because he is contagious! at least I have Wi-Fi
A&A'smommy replied: poor baby!!!! I REALLY hope he gets better soon
lisar replied: I hope he gets better soon.
Nina J replied: Aww thats no good. Hope he goes home soon.
I read you other post too, so I hope he sleeps through the night. Was he on constant oxygen until his Spo2 sats improved, with air trials at night to see how he went, or just regular treatment?
But I hope his Spo2 stays above 95 at night. It would be no fun for him to have sats so low
If I go visit people in hospital and they have a Spo2 machine thingy near the bed, I check to see how good I'm going. Usualy I am good, 99 on room air.
