My Husband says this is stupid gift - what do u think

My husband says this is stupid gift. He says we should buy new cd's not give them burnt ones.


Does your kids scratch them etc? Let me know. And I am meaning this for my little kids 6 10 11..the 14 year old of course has her own, she wont share...

A&A'smommy replied: I don't think that is stupid I think it is perfectly good way for them to learn to take care of their cds!!!

kimberley replied: not stupid at all! i think that is a smart idea. even with the kids computer games, i used to burn a copy for them to use and kept the original hidden away. these things get lost, damaged and stolen very often. it hurts a lot less to lose a $2 burnt CD than a $20 original. jmo. plus you can get those cool colorful CD's that kids love!

maestra replied: I think it's cool too. I like to burn copies of my cds and take them to work, or use them in the car, that way if they get stolen, I still have the good one at home.

Kind of reminds me of the Mix tapes we used to make back in my generation. I used to have to put the tape recorder up to the radio speaker. You could always hear my mom yelling in the background!
