My OB's Son passed away........
jen wrote: Hey Everyone,
yesterday I went to the doctor and found out my doctor's son passed away over the weekend in a car accident Isn't that awful?? My doctor is old, his son was 43. I am so sad for him. I sent him a sympathy card this morning. Needless to say I didn't get an exam. I go monday.
You just never think that this will happen to anyone you know He is such a nice man (the kind of person you just don't think bad things happen to).
On a brighter note, We are supposed to be getting a digital camera at my shower on Sunday! he he he! So I will be able to take all the pictures of my belly and nursery!
Boys r us replied: That is so horrible!! I don't think it matters how old your child is if they pass away, no parent is programmed to expect that in their life!
jen replied: i TOTALLY AGREE!
jen replied: Ok I don't know how I got part of my message into the "quote" haaaaaaaaaaaaa but that was pretty cool!
momma2jenna replied: how sad for him. It was nice of you to send a card, very thoughtful. Let us know about Monday's appt. Sorry you have to wait.
Kaitlin'smom replied: that is so sad, deffinalty no parent could ever be ready for that. Some friends of the family have lost both there daughters both were young....
jen replied: That is awful............you just don't think that happens to people you know and care about. That is so sad It really gives you a reality check!
MylittlePaige replied: That is so sad. No parent ever expects to have their child pass before them. That is thoughtful for you to send the card and for him to know that you are thinking of him and his family. Alli
Lily replied: That's very sad. My prayers go out to his family.
And congrats about the digital camera! They are very fun.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: That is just so terrible. I feel so close to my OB and would be so sad if anything like that happened to him. I feel so bad for your OB. Losing a child of any age has got to be the hardest thing to overcome. I will send prayers his way.
pinka_star replied: That's horrible your poor Doctor.
kimberley replied: that is so tragic. my prayers and thoughts are with his family.
A&A'smommy replied: Oh that is horrible!

asharene replied: My mom lost a child of polio back in 1957, he was less than a year old. And then her oldest son (my brother) passed away about 7 years ago at the age of 50 (or so). She says that both were equally tragic to her because your children are supposed to bury you, not the other way around. She says that it gets better after awhile, but never goes away.
coasterqueen replied: That is so sad. My P&pt's are with his family.
