My Oprah letter - need honest opinions

Dear Oprah,
I have friends that I’ve known for years. Some that have come into my life, to only go out, or those that I see on rare occasions every few years or more. We speak on the phone occasionally, but only when something exceptionally good or bad has happened in our lives like the birth of our children or possibly a bad divorce. It’s unfortunate, but in these days, out of sight typically means out of mind. In my heart, these friends will always be my friends, but sometimes I need more. I need a place where I can get answers - not next month, not tomorrow, but today. And that place is the Parenting Club, a message board which holds a network of people from across the nation.
As a first time stay-at-home-mom, I struggle day to day with an array of issues stemming from how much formula to feed my son or how to spark romance in my marriage. Like any new parent, my questions are endless. In the Parenting Club, I’m not waiting for someone to return my phone call. I simply log on and the lines of communication are open. Someone is there ready and willing to give me answers. I grew up without email or the worldwide web and one may think that sending a letter these days is unique. But I have found through many months as a member in the Parenting Club, uniqueness is really the bond that I share with over 2,400 people I have NEVER met. We are miles apart, yet we are able to offer up advice on surviving the terrible two’s, hope when one is trying to conceive, and prayers for the loss of a child. One can even post a “smilie” hug when words are simply not enough.
I feel blessed to have finally found the emotional closeness through friendships I have made on the internet, but Oprah, it would be my dream to be given the opportunity to give thanks, in person, to my dear friends in the Parenting Club. I believe that a discussion with the topic, “Internet Message Boards: Friendships and Answers 24/7” would be an interesting one for your show. By hosting the Parenting Club members in your audience, we would provide you and your producers a clear example of how cyber friendships are not only unique, but honest. We are available and we are always ready to speak.
Sincerely yours,
Rae ____________ SAHM to my dear son Wil (1 year old) Colorado Springs, Colorado

Some of us have decided to write a letter to Oprah telling her about the PC Board and how it has helped us, etc. We're hoping that she will invite us to her show...hopefully all expenses paid! We figure the more letters sent in at once, the better our chances. Kristi, momtotripp, will be mailing them!
JAYMESMOM replied: Nice letter. Very well worded.
