My Son Frankie Guertin the 4th - Gastroschisis
guertin31 wrote: Hello all. My name is Frank Guertin and I wanted to post about the story of my son Frankie Jr. Our son was diagnosed with a rare condition called "Gastroschisis" which is an abnormality (defect or hole) in the abdominal wall that allows the child's intestine contents to protrude outside the body. We had such a unbelievable struggle and have come out with a beautiful boy who is doing so well...
I made a small web site about his story and for parents who are going through the same thing. We have a posting boad where you can leave messages or comments. We also update it with videos and pictures on a daily basis.
If you know any parents who have had been diagnosed with Gastroschisis, please pass this site on to them.
God bless, Frank

mom21kid2dogs replied: Hi & welcome! Your little guy is adorable!! My friend has a son who was born with that condition as well. He's 23 now, suffered no long term effects. You'd never noticed anything different except that he doesn't have a belly button! I know it was so frightening at the time he was born, though! Good luck with your little one!!
