My baby flower girl
PrairieMom wrote: Al is going to be my sisters Flower girl in October, so I need a dress. Anyone have a 12 month flower girl dress they want to get rid of? or know of good places to look for one? I found a couple on EBAY, but I was wondering if any of you have inside info...
lovemy2 replied: Find a good seamstress who can make her one.....or try JC Penney's - do you have them there? Maybe something like a christening type gown or something would suffice unless your sister doesn't want her in white too - but you could always get a white dress and then have someone make a colored sash or something like that to go with it....otherwise try Craigslist??
lovemy2 replied: Oh yeah - go to JCPENNEYS.com and look under Baby/Kids Dress Up - they have some ADORABLE dresses in the $30 range!! Have fun and let us know what you decide on!! How fun....I love little girls in foo foo dresses
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I have one that's a 2T.
PrairieMom replied: There is NOW WAY that would fit. I'm thinking I will have to have 12 month one altered. My crazy kids refuse to grow.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: We have a place around here that has them really cheap. I tried to see if they have a website, but they don't.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I will have to look I think I have one that size or maybe smaller, any particulr color?
PrairieMom replied: White. With wine accents if you got it.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I know I have this one but cant remember the size.....
Kaitlin'smom replied: I think I have a white one but it just white you could always add to it....I will have to look when I get home.

PrairieMom replied: How cute! I will have to take a pic of Al like that. I can't wait to see the both of them in their outfits..
Hillbilly Housewife replied: The second one is absolutely precious, can't go wrong with the price.
I have one similar to the first picture... let me see if I can find a picture.
The lace part comes off, and there's also a bonnet that goes with it.
I think it's 12 mo though. I could be wrong. But I'm pretty sure...because her baptism was on the 19th of december, and her 1st b-day was on the 28th of december.
She WAS a big chunky dunk though.
stella6979 replied: Oh, I love the second one.
PrairieMom replied: Where did you get hat dress?! I love it. Too cute.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Growing Kids.
You can have it if you want it, jsut pay the shipping...
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I have one that is 2T as well...but Tay just wore it for my sister's wedding in December so obviously NOT true to size We have several other frilly dresses but I don't think any that small...I will look
PrairieMom replied: I'll have the bride look at the pic... do yo uhappen to know the measurements?
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I'll take it out of the closet as soon as my youngest wakes up.
PrairieMom replied: awesome!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Ok. Loosely tied, it's about 18 around the waist (you can tie it way tight, because the front is like a lacy best, but the back is ribbon you pull from the sides.)
From the shoulder hem to the bottom hem, it's about 20 inches. The skirt is very full and has tulle in it, so it flares out. Height wise, it's about 20 inches. The dress itself, from shoulder to hem, is 23 inches long.
From shoulder hem to shoulder hem, it's 8 1\2 inches. Of course this will shorten as the dress is worn, to accomodate the curveo f the body...to about 7 inches.
The sleeves are floofy, so it will hide the shoulders, really, if the dress is just a little too big...
Any other measurements you need?
The dress says size 3, but this is so not a size 3. Stood up on it's hem, it goes to my knee.
