My baby has a heartbeat!!!

5littleladies wrote: I went in for an ultrasound today to rule out an ectopic pregnancy since I've been having cramps in my lower right side for a couple of days. Baby is right where it is supposed to be and has a heartrate of about 115 beats per minute-right on target for how far along I am. The radiologist said if I had gone in even a day earlier we might not have been able to see it. The cause of the pain seems to be a cyst on my right ovary-Something we can't do anything about without hurting the baby, but my doctor says it will go away eventually. I cried when she showed me the baby's heartbeat-It was such a relief! And my due date is exactly what I guessed it to be-Sept 18th.

Oh, and I had an ovarian cyst when I got pregnant with Gabriel, btw. It bothered me sometimes, but much less than I expected. I had one removed from the same ovary 5 years earlier and that one was hurting worse by the time I had it removed and I wasn't even pregnant then. It really shouldn't be anything to worry about.

I had a planned c-section so they just got rid of the cyst at the same time that they did the c-section. Tied my tubes too. My doc and I laughed a lot about her "all purpose surgery." I hope my insurance company apprecited our cost-saving efforts.
