My baby is hooked!

I will only eat them fried, but I do love livers and gizzards fried with gravy.

C&K*s Mommie replied: Sure. I have boiled them until they are tender, no gravy and no rice like the way we prefer them. Although it was completely unplanned to cook them today, so I did not have any other ingredients to mix in.

Lindy's Chicken in Tallahassee steams them, or so I have been told, and that is why they are so so tender, they also use a thick gravy and rice to complement the gizzards. My mother does the same, but the gravy rice mixture is not quite the same. Good but not the same, KWIM?

ETA: Lindy's also will fry them, but we like them steamed.

coasterqueen replied: No way. My mother tries to put that stuff in stuffing at Thanksgiving time. She makes 2 dishes of stuffing, one with them in it and one without (for me ).

I found out not long ago that my mom cuts up the gizzards and puts them in her stuffing...I wont eat her stuffing anymore. Brave girl you got there! Did I read it right that says you ALL like the gizzards? AH...Nicole...I wont be coming over for dinner anytime soon dear!

I love to steam them till they are really tender, then I deep fry them.

Now I want Gizzards.
