My daughter, the criminal - she got cited today by police!

Olivia was on her scooter so she had on her knee pads and helmet. He "pulled" us over and gave her a "citation" for a free cone at Dairy Queen because she was wearing her helmet! It was too cute and of course, O was thrilled at free ice cream!

Guess this is the start of her life of crime!

It's actually something that our "real" police dept does. This guy is generally assigned to the high school during the school year and does bike patrol in the summer. If they "catch" an adult with a bike helmet they get a free blizzard! Mommy likes!!

redchief replied: I wish I could talk our PD into starting a helmet program like that! I've been trying for over a year now, ever since I heard of it. Almost none of the kids wear helmets here. Then they crash and we get to fly them to a trauma center.

Good for you guys! You can't ask for a better ticket than an appearance before the ice-cream vendor!
