My exciting new years
HuskerMom wrote: I woke up at 4 this morning having to use the bathroom (of course) and I noticed that the fish tank water was really low. When I checked it out the carpet was soaked. There was about a fourth of the water gone so there was about 15 gallons that had soaked into the carpet. My poor pirhanas were probably wondering why their little world was getting smaller! So I got Dh up and we sucked as much of the water up with the carpet cleaner thing.
We couldn't figure out what happened for a while but I think I know. Our cat was trying to drink out of it yesterday afternoon and almost fell in bumping the pump filter thing. We set it back up and now it's working fine. I wish the cat hadn't done that but it was hilarious when he almost fell, he kind of had a deer in headlights look on his face.
So that's how my new years went!
lovemy2 replied: Oh gosh - that stinks - but it sure must have been funny to see the cat almost fall into a tank full of pirahnnas (sp)
mom2my2cuties replied: Is that almost like poetic justice???
A&A'smommy replied: That sucks!!!! at the cat, sometimes they are MORE entertaining that the tv
Calimama replied: Oh yuck!! Glad you were able to clean it up though. I can't imagine trying to get that many gallons out of my carpet!!
MommyToAshley replied: I'm sorry about the water on the carpet, I'm glad you were able to get most of it up. What a way to start the new year, eh?
Poor kitty... I almost feel bad at him. Too bad you didn't get it on video.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: PIRHANAS??? Wow! How do you feed them? Oh, sorry about the water on the floor, but I can't get over that fact you own pirhanas!!
MoonMama replied: Um ditto.
HuskerMom replied: They'll eat most meats. Usually before I cook whatever meat we're having for dinner I'll throw some in for them. They're not picky!
Calimama replied: Oh wow.. so does that mean they'll eat fingers too!?
HuskerMom replied: I don't know, they've never tried to bite me before.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: That's exactly my next question, do they bite?
