My first OB appt with baby #2

kit_kats_mom wrote: Went well. The whole time I was in the waiting room, I was nervous that they would find twins. Then a couple with a 10 month old and a 5 year old came out and the dad was looking like he'd just seen a ghost...twins for them. LOL

Anyway, since I'm still BF'ding Katherine, my ovulation dates were off a bit. The US measured at 7 w 4 days so instead of a christmas due date, we have a New Years Eve due date. rolling_smile.gif

The Dr. said that since my uterus is tilted, that he can't rule out twins yet but he didn't see two. Great buddy, play right into my fears. LOL

kimberley replied: glad the appt went well! what a great way to ring in the new year! wub.gif it seems to be the year for twins so you never know.... lol rolling_smile.gif

jcc64 replied: Hey Cary,
Glad the appt went well. And New Years is a wayyyyyyy better day for a b-day than Christmas anyway!

amynicole21 replied: Yay! Glad it went so well, though it would have been nice if they gave you a definitive answer on the number of little guys in there rolleyes.gif

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I'm gald that it went well Cary. It does seem like everyone is discovering that they are having twins lately. I guess we will have to wait and see. Twins are in my family so I have that fear as well. My Mom's mom was a twin.

ediep replied: yay, glad it went well! I agree that New years is a better birthday than Chritsmas

coasterqueen replied: YAY! Glad it went well. Twins are in my family too, so I'm hoping I have twins wink.gif.

So will they do another ultrasound sometime to find out if you are having twins?

kit_kats_mom replied:
I get an US everytime I go to the OB. They have one in the office and give them out freely. One of the many reasons I love them. thumb.gif LOL

I agree with you guys that New Years Eve is a better birthday but it is also our anniversary. We can always celebrate that at another time though. wink.gif

However, I've just had anightmare vision of a 5 year olds birthday party on New years day with me all hungover...can you say "personal hell?" bah! LOL rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: LOL well I'm glad your app. went alright! LOL about the couple with the twins! (((HUGSS))) as far as the not ruling out twins yet.

CantWait replied: Great news!! Glad your appt went well wub.gif

MomToMany replied: thumb.gif I'm so happy everything is going well for you, Cary! (((((HUGS))))) to you; hopefully you'll find out soon enough if there's more than one. Maybe you'll be surprised in the delivery room wink.gif rolling_smile.gif !

jem0622 replied: Glad it was uneventful! Sounds like you could go either way - December or January.

Don't rule out twins cause with Nathan (4) there was a twin and they weren't 'looking' for it and with my most recent u/s last week they didn't see one or 'weren't looking for it' and there you have it.

Do you have twins in your family? DH and me do.

All this and I wasn't on any kind of fertility meds!

I'm freaking out about financials right now. God will provide. I just keep saying that.

kit_kats_mom replied:
Nope, no twins in our families...at least not within the last 3 generations. unsure.gif

I just know that the incidence of twins increases with age and I'm nearing the age when it increases a lot. dry.gif

I seriously doubt that we would have twins but you never know. tongue.gif

I'm sure everything will work out fine with you guys but I can totally understand the financial stress. I'm freaking out because K and DH have no insurance. We can only afford to cover me. I've been having a ton of headaches and I suspect a lot of it is the stress from DH"s lack of job.

Kaitlin'smom replied: glad it went well. baby.gif

thats great you get u/s everytime, I wish I had gotten more, it was so neat to see.

coasterqueen replied:
LOL! rolling_smile.gif

That's good you get more u/s. I still wonder how safe they are. My doc told me he would only give me the necessary amount because they are not safe for baby. I'm going to have to research this before I get pg again wink.gif
