grandma replied: Where are you going?
lisar replied: I cant think of anything else. Good luck with the letters to everyone thats gona be the hard part,
sparkys2boys replied: Your post just made me stop in my tracks Marie, I read "just in case something happens" and got all teary eyed. The real reality of what you are going to do hit me. Are you getting worried, scared? I can't imagine sitting down and writing that letter Your a braver stronger women then I am I know that. I dont have any suggestions, but wanted to once again wish you all the best and will be praying for your safe return
Calimama replied: I would do power of attorney for EVERYTHING.. I can't even access T-Mobile right now with DH gone.. until he changes it.
And um NOTHING is going to happen! Got it missy?
CantWait replied: Oh ya, I forgot I need to post date cheques as well.
I'm getting worried, and scared, but I know how well trained the military is, and i know the chances of something happening on base are relatively slim with the exceptions of the rocket attacks (no has been injured seriously in these blasts yet, and only once did it do any real damage to the base to my knowledge). Seriously I believe my chances on the street are as dangerous a situation that'll I'll be in. A long side the worry and fear I'm really excited at the prospect of experiencing something so new, and for such a worthwhile cause. Not to mention all the much needed money I'll be making over there.
CantWait replied: All the bills are in dh's name, the house is in his name, the car is in his name, etc... you get the picture lol
The only things that aren't in his name are my bank accounts, and the kids. Ron has left me in the situation everytime he's gone overseas and I wanted to ring his neck for it.
And I got it, thank you.
Calimama replied: Glad that's cleared up.
I hear you on ringing his neck. DH thought he "covered" everything before he left. Um WRONG. Seriously how many times has he done this!? K rant over.
CantWait replied: I say the same thing everytime.
momofone replied: stamps photographs maybe some of your favorite foods.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Do you mind me asking, but who is watching the boys?
I really have no clue what you take on a trip like this. How do you contact the kids?...Do you bring a cell phone or calling card? What about buying a webcam to contact the boys with, if they allow it. GL
CantWait replied:
I'm currently looking into daycare for Anthony and may have a spot available for him as early as next week. I'm still waiting for them to call me back today or tomorrow hopefully after their meeting. If not then I will be looking for a sitter. Robbie is legally old enough to be home byhimself so there's no need for a sitter for him. He will only be home for a bit by himself after school in which case he'll probably be going outside or to a friends house.
We get half an hour a week to phone home free, high speed internet as much as we want as long as no one is waiting, I'm also buying a laptop w/ webcam and will get wireless in my tent which is slow but will allow me to msn, or e-mail etc whenever I want.
A&A'smommy replied: I agree with the webcam and laptop if you have one!!!
