My little man - is in a twin bed!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: We're planning to have the boys share a room when we move to California, so we thought it would be wise to transition Wesley into a "big boy" bed this last weekend. So last night was his first night in a twin bed and he SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!! It took a while to get him down, but no CIO at all. I rocked him for a while, which is normal, and then I had to lie down with him until he fell asleep. But not a peep all night and he woke at his normal time of 7am! smile.gif It was a little sad to see the crib go down, but I think he was ready. We bought him new PB Kids "choo choo" sheets and he was so excited! wub.gif

Just wanted to share...

:.Mrs_Mommy.: replied: Oh Wow! That is a big change when they go from the crib to their own big bed. So sad to see it but so proud at the same time. wub.gif

A&A'smommy replied: awwww I can't believe he is old enough to be in a big boy bed!!! wub.gif Thats awesome that he slept through the night!! love2.gif

3xsthefun replied: Aww, he is a big boy now! wub.gif That is really great he slept all through the night!

moped replied: WOW that is great Rae!!!!!!!!!!!

When do you move exactly? Did I miss the post?

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
We're moving middle to end of March. So quick!

Naptime didn't go so well. dry.gif I gave him some milk and tried lying down with him again. He wanted nothing to do with it and started jumping on me like it was time to play. I'm not sure I can handle Wesley not napping, he's too young IMO, so I may put the pack n play in his room as a temporary solution. Then keep him in the twin for nightime. Wish me luck!

A&A'smommy replied: Good luck!!!!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Ahhhhhhh, it's 5pm and still no nap for Wesley. dry.gif Which could either mean he will fall asleep easily tonight or be a little terror trying to get down. Did I tell you guys that transitioning him was mostly DH's idea? I think I'll let him try and get him down tonight and go to the gym. rolling_smile.gif

Sam & Abby's Mom replied: Well -- it started out good ! LOL
Sammy moved out of his crib into his big boy bed when he was 3. Worked out great - no problems what so ever. That gave me the itch to transition Abby's crib into a toddler's bed,,,,but when I really thought about it -- NO WAY! That girl is a bit too spunky right now. LOL I'm thinking for her 2nd bday we'll do the toddler bed and for her third bday the big girl bed. We'll see. (Abby and Wes are the same age).

Sharing a room will be a hoot for the boys! I always shared a room when I was growing up (guess you'd expect that when you have 8 brothers and sisters. LOL) and those are some of my best memories.

Good luck with this and your move smile.gif

oh yah - LOVE your new siggy! The boys are adorable smile.gif

MoonMama replied: Good luck Rae I hope it continues to go well, and that he fell asleep easy tonight. thumb.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: That's GREAT!!!!! WTG WESLEY!!!!!!!!! thumb.gif thumb.gif

lisar replied: thumb.gif thumb.gif Good for him. I am glad he slept thru the night.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
Thanks! They got those new robes for Xmas from my sister. wub.gif

Update: DH got Wesley down last night while I was at the gym, but then he woke up around midnight. unsure.gif I heard DH trying to get him back down, but it wasn't working. So I went in and rocked him for a while. And actually fell asleep in his bed. snooze.gif I think he's still a little nervous about being in such a big bed all alone, because he likes me lying down next to him for a while. But he's getting there! I'm more worried about naptime.
