My mother disappoints again

My sister had her first baby last week. She named her Fiona Raine Raine is a combination of my BIL's mother's name (GloRIA) and my mother's name (LaRAINE). No one knew this would be the name until the day after she was born. When she told my mother the name, my mom said "oh, that's cute." My sister just assumed she didn't "get it." She explained it to her later that day and my mom again said, "oh, cute." WTF?! Someone names their child after you and you can't even get your head out of your own butt to appreciate it?!?

She is such a major disappointment in every way.

On a side note, my step-mother has this thing for rainy days... she loves them. My sister told her that influenced the name as well and SHE was able to give an appropriate response... she cried and said she loved it and loved my sister and thanked her. Now, I know you can't tell someone what their reaction SHOULD be, but my step-mother got it right
