My poor friend! Bizarre pregnancy issues...

Yesterday, she was using the bathroom and she noticed something hanging out of her. She found a mirror and looked in and she saw what she said looked like a finger or a snake or something hanging down. She immediately called her OB who said it might be her umbilical cord and to come in RIGHT THAT SECOND! Of course she freaked out and rushed there. It wasn't the umbilical cord, but instead her urethra that is coming out of her body! Since there was so much trauma with her first delivery, it was somehow displaced and the baby's head is pushing it out of her. Still, she is somehow still not dilated... can't figure that one out. Anyway, they can't do anything about it until she delivers, so she's got to walk around for another month with her urethra hanging out of her.

DansMom replied: Your poor friend! I would be completely freaked out. It sounds like she made the right decision for a C-section this time.

I pushed for 3 hours and had a long recovery from the effects of that, but that was a walk in the park it seems. I didn't know that kind of damage was possible... kind of scary to think about.
