My poor little Baby

Boys r us wrote: He developed a horrible fever Saturday and it continued sunday with a nasty deep cough and wheezing and he could barely talk.Yesterday morning I took him to the dr and they said he has Croup; which I always had assumed was just sort of slang terminology for a bad cough or something, I didn't realize it was a real illness in of itself. It's when a virus causes heavy secretion of mucus(gross) in and around your voicebox and that area. It build up and causes inflammation of the larnyx and voicebox and can obstruct the airway which causes labored breathing.
Anyhow, it was bad enough that they contemplated putting him in the hospital in a Croup Tent. But told me to try steaming up the bathroom and sitting in there with him and also they put him on a heavy duty steroid. He's doing better this morning!!

My2Beauties replied: Poor guy! I hope he is doing better.....I was in the ER one night with Hanna and a little baby had croup that was in there and it was terrible sounding. Hugs to you both!

booey2 replied: hugs to you, we had croup here not that long ago with Thomas and had the mask treatments and steriods, he also developed asthma from it but hasn't had an asthma attack since. Hope he gets better soon.
