NEED HELP - How to get baby to move into position

tammyhopkins wrote: So i had my doctor appointment yesturday and he said that he is transverse so side to side. I REALLY do not want another c section, but the doctor said that if in 2 weeks time he has not moved into poistion they are booking me in for another c section for beginning of March.

Does anyone have any great ideas as to how to get this baby to move into the right position. I am soooo frustrated right now i could scream.

Thank you

moped replied: I did not know this tammy - I don't know anything about that but I do know that you liekly don't want to deliver that vaginally......i will call you

Kaitlin'smom replied: talk to the kid? really talk to them and say can you please shift into the correct position. It might or might not work, but its worth a try right? I always told Kaitlin anytime after Dec 27th was fine, well I was in labor that day and had her on the 28th. wacko.gif crazy kid

mommy~to~a~bunch replied: I went through this when I was pregnant with Abby. My MW doesn't attend homebirths with a breech baby, and I did NOT want to be in the hospital. So I used the tips on spinningbabies.com.

Hope this helps get the baby in position!

coasterqueen replied: I agree with that link from Mollie. I know on the BF board I was on for a long time that website and it's tips was handed out regularly. GL. hug.gif

Calimama replied: Good luck! hug.gif hug.gif

Danalana replied: I hope something works for you!
Could they try an external version, like they do for some breech positions?

MoonMama replied: Good luck....~~~~turn to the correct position baby~~~~

punkeemunkee'smom replied: You can try geting on your hands and knees and rocking your pelvis toward your breast bone and back. You can apply gentle pressure from both sides in a sweeping motion to encourage the baby to turn head down. Squatting or sitting on a big rubber ball helps sometimes too-it takes the pressure off the baby and allows more freedom of movement. Don't stress yet! I have seen babies turn or be turned at the very last second. Remember they can flip end to end until their head engages so even if you get her head down today she could turn again tomorrow. hug.gif I will keep you in my prayers too! I would love to try a VBAC if I ever get pregnant again! hug.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I had an external version with Ethan, but I'm not sure they do these with a prior c-section. I hope you get him turned, hun. I know how stressful it is. My chiropractor also has a lot of success at turning babies...maybe go that route?? hug.gif hug.gif

mommy~to~a~bunch replied: thumb.gif Chiropractors use a method called the Webster Technique. Make sure that your provider is trained in this though. I would definitely try these resources before resorting to a C-section.

tammyhopkins replied: Thank you so much everyone for your prayers and hoping. I am going to try everything you guys have suggested and keep my fingers crossed that it works.

I am starting to think that even though i am 5' 11" and should be able to have babies naturally wihout a problem that does not seem possible. Josh was Frank breach and now i am going down the same flippin road. Just trying to keep my hopes up here.

Again thank you guys I appreciate all your help!!

lisar replied: They tried doing an inversion with me when I pg with Lexi. She was breech and they litterly tried to turn her into the correct position. It didnt work but I dont know maybe you could talk your dr and see if they can do that.

Crystalina replied: Have they not suggested an external? huh.gif
