Name for a girl
hopefulmomtobe wrote: Hubby and I are having fun picking out a girls name, neither of us like what the other likes. I mean, he likes....Lola! (if your name is Lola, I like Lola too) But, I just don't know about naming my baby Lola....no offense.
Name choices so far....
Jaiden Grace Jaiden Madison
Emma Madison Emalee Madison
Adison Grace Adison Madison (just kidding!)
I love unique names, but I just dont know.... do you guys have any other names out there? My sons name is Brody Masen....just so you can see where I am going....I just like the name to be different, but not way out there to being strange.
MotherForever2043 replied: My favorite one is Emma Madison. I have always liked the name Emma. If I have a girl I'm going to name her Makayla.
JadensMama05 replied: My favorite outta those is Emma too. Love that name! FYI - Jaden (other spelling also, obviously since you have "Jaiden" there) has gotten to be very common among babies. In 2006, it was in the top 3 (I believe) for names. I was disappointed to see that as I named my son Jaden.. at the time, I'd only heard of it like once.
I'm pretty partial to the names Audrey and Molly. I was planning on naming Jaden Molly if he was a girl but DH doesn't like that name (past experience.. blah blah). And I was planning on my next kid, if a girl, being named Audrey. I think it's a classic beauty. But my sister is going to be naming her baby girl (due in spring) Aubrey so that kinda got blown too. I'm actually kinda mad at her for it. Maybe with no right to be but I feel like she stole the name I was going to use and changed it just enough to say she didn't steal it. When she told our mom the name, Mama said "Ali's not going to be too happy about that. She has the name Audrey picked out." Tammy's response was "Well I'm having a baby girl first. Plus then their names will be similar." Well I can't name my lil girl Audrey if Tammy names her's Aubrey so.. Guess I lost that name too!
LOL Sorry to get that little personal vent in there. Didn't mean to go off subject!
hopefulmomtobe replied: I love the name Jaden too, seems like more boys are named that then girls. My kids like Emma too. My husband wants Emma, looks like they may win.
Thank you girls for your help and sorry to hear about your sister...that was ugly of her and I think I would be upset with my sister if she did that to me too.
Jamison'smama replied: I like Adison Grace--the baby I know spells it Addison but I think the name flows nicely together. My OB said to chose a middle name, go to the door and yell out the first and middle name as if you were calling them inside (since we'll be doing that alot apparently)
3xsthefun replied: I like Emma but not to sure about the middle name Madison with it.
I like Emma Grace better.
hopefulmomtobe replied: My mom loves Emma Grace too, but we live in GA and I think it sounds kinda country. I know that sounds silly, but that is the only reason I didnt put Grace with Emma.
I know - Im goofy! It isnt like we will run around calling her by both names....
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I think Emma Madison may be too many "M" sounds. I agree with Tina, I love the sound of Emma Grace.
JadensMama05 replied: Thank you very much!
hopefulmomtobe replied: Ok...we went out to dinner last night and they have paper table clothes that kids can write on so we starting writing tons of girl names on the table and came up actually agreeing on a girls name!!! It is amazing! ha
Jake Benjamin
or
Ava Madison
What do you guys think? We are so excited to have this finally over with.
We will find out on the 22nd what we are having.
3xsthefun replied: Both names are nice. I love the name Ava, I wish DH did.
hopefulmomtobe replied: I was actually surprised the DH came up with it! I came up with the middle names and he did the first names.
I think we are both just glad it is finalized now because we seriously talked about this everday.... It is a hard decission.
MotherForever2043 replied: I like the name Ava too. How far along will you be when you find out the sex of the baby? I get to find out on Wendsday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My3LilMonkeys replied: I like Ava - very pretty.
hopefulmomtobe replied: We will find out on the 22nd and I will be 16 weeks.
I had a little emergency doctor visit yesterday...ended up being embarrasing, but anyway - he did an ultrasound and asked if I wanted to know and I said no because DH wasnt there....ugh, now I wish I would have found out and just kept it a secret. Do you think he could really tell at 14 weeks anyway????
MotherForever2043 replied: Maybe. But thier is a chance he would made a wrong determination. And you would be prepared for a girl or boy, then when you gave birth you realized that the doctor was wrong. I think it's better that you held it off to wait for your husband to be there.
