Need advice and a little hope
holltech1 wrote: Here is my situation: Had HSG on 8/3 supposed to start cycle on 8/21 but it was delay until 8/25. The nurse said the HSG sometimes delays your cycle. Now to this month… I figured my body would get back to its normal schedule, so I was suppose to start on 9/18. I had bad cramps on 9/17 but no AF. Just for the heck of it I took a HPT and to my surprise I got a very faint positive. I was getting ready to throw it away because I have taken so many in the past 6 months and all BFN. But my husband confirmed there was a line there. I took another 9/20 and again very faint line but I think it was lighter then the day before. I went to my ob/gyn and they drew blood but I will not get the result until tomorrow 9/22. I tested again this morning 9/21 and the line seems to be even lighter. I had to put it up against the light just to see it. If I go with same schedule as last month then my AF is due tomorrow 9/22. My question is what's gong on? I thought the line should be getting darker each day not lighter.
All the test where First Response Early. I have read in this forum that they are known for giving false positive. I haven't heard this before at all. I was always told a any line faint line or not is a positive preg.
Please Help
New Mommy replied: Are you waiting long enough because when i took mine, my hubby said there was just a very faint line and that I was probably not. A couple of minutes went by and the line got darker. I am not sure what kind I used but if you see any line at all then you need to get checked out, which you already did. Just wait for the blood test results and hopefully they are positive. I am praying that everything will work out for you
holltech1 replied: Thanks "New Mommy".
I'm just tired... Getting too old for all these emotions. Its hard not to know whether its yes or no.
Really Tired...
MommyToAshley replied: Did the line appear within the alotted time? Sometimes you can see lines after the alotted time, but then it is not really a positive test. Does that make sense?
I hope you are PG... you only have to wait one more day for the results. I have the feeling you are by what you have said though. I have my fingers crossed for you!!!
coasterqueen replied: I had a very faint line with my FREPT for a few days before it got darker but it never got lighter.
I definitely would wait til you get your results back before making any conclusions. The only thing I've ever heard is *if* it is getting lighter that could mean a blighted ovum.
holltech1 replied: MommyToAshley,
It was within the time period. I just don't think it happened this time. for the test results to get lighter is not a good sign. I would have preferred to just have received a BFN than false hope. But I will know for sure tomorrow.
Thanks for ALL the support. Its good having someone to talk to and exchange experiences.
aspenblue1 replied: I hope everythign works out for you. Hopefully you will have good new tomorrow.

holltech1 replied: I'M PREGNANT!
I took the ClearBlue Digital and it said "Pregnant". No more questioning.
I haven't heard from the doctor yet, but no doubt she will say the same.
I do have a major concern. I had a tubal reversal on 4/1/04 so there is a chance the pregnancy can be an etopic. So, please continue to pray everything works out.
Thanks for all the support! Janette
ediep replied: congrats! I was going to suggest taking the test first thing in the morning when your urine in most concentrated....I got a faint positive line when I was preg with Jason, then I tried again in the morning and it was waaaayyyyy darker.
Congratulations!!!!!
Littlejojames replied: CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
So happy for you.......
Hope that all is well and you have a very happy and healthy 9 months
coasterqueen replied: YAY!!! Congrats!!!!! P&pt's coming your way. Are you having pain/cramping on one side only? If so that could mean an ectopic, otherwise it's probably not . I went through all that with this pg in the very beginning when I had spotting/cramping.
holltech1 replied: Actually, I am having discomfort on one side. But I have had this before. For the last two weeks I put down my water and I've been drinking soda. This morning I started drinking water again and the discomfort went away. when my doctor calls I will tell her about my concern.
Thanks, Janette
Littlejojames replied: Good luck hope everything is ok.
Please keep us posted x
MommyToAshley replied: YAY!!! CONGRATS!!!!
That is such good news! (I told you I had a feeling ) I would discuss your concerns with your OB, but try to stay relaxed. I had all kinds of cramping with my PG as well and it was all normal. But, it never hurts to send some P&PT's, so I am sending lots your way!
Did you tell your DH? What did he say?
holltech1 replied: I showed my hubby the test results "PREGNANT". My hubby is real cool so he is just reserving his feelings until we get the green light that the pregnancy is in the uterus.
aspenblue1 replied: Congrats!!!!
Mom2Boyz replied: Congrats on your pregnancy!!! I hope everything turns out OK
A&A'smommy replied: Congratulations I'm happy for you! Please keep us updated with your pregnancy, I swear I knew you were I read this earlier but couldn't respond (things have just been hectic for me lately). Congrats again!
Littlejojames replied: Keep us update x
When will you be able to find out about getting the all clear??? Really hope that everything goes ok and fingers crossed.
jem0622 replied: An HSG makes you even more fertile...so it should help your TTC. HUGS. I would not trust a home test. I would go in for a hCG beta (blood test) to get a true number.
