stella6979 replied: Assuming they're all safe, I'd go with the purple one. I love purple for little girls. wub.gif

lisar replied:
Yes they are all safe. I looked at them off Sears website and they are all name brand. And she meets the weight requirments and all. I checked them out good.

Kaitlin'smom replied: I like the pink and purple one

stella6979 replied:
Well in that case, the purple one gets my vote. Not only do I like the color, but it just looks the most comfy. smile.gif

MommyToAshley replied: What color is the interior of your car?

lisar replied:
well the truck is black and I have tan leather seats.

mom21kid2dogs replied: The third one appeals to me the least. It's a toss up on the rest of 'em! Get 'em all!!! I loved O's Marathon. It was a really great seat! thumb.gif

luvbug00 replied: I like the secound one. smile.gif

moped replied: WOW those are pricey - Jacks Eddie Bauer was no where near that price - ouchie!

Anyways, I like the third one best!!!!

stella6979 replied:
I thought that too about the prices.

Lisa, have you checked for any others?

lisar replied:
Yea I have but I didnt like them. Thats the problem I have I am to darn picky.

moped replied: THis is the one we have

lisar replied:
Its cute but I have a girl. I dont really want blue like that. KWIM?

moped replied: oh totally I get it - let me look

moped replied: How about this for a neutral color

stella6979 replied:
Ours is very similar to this one, only it's a cream color. smile.gif

lisar replied:
That one is cute. But I still like the ones I picked the best. They are more girly.

mom21kid2dogs replied:
I doubt you'll regret buying Britax if you are willing to shell out the dough. The bells and whistles they have (super comfy, EPS foam, never twist straps) really make the 6+ more years of car seats very tolerable!

moped replied: Oh I would like the never twist straps option!

moped replied: Ok I say #3 because it is sort of florida like - LOL

lisar replied:
LOL you would up there in Canada all cold!!! And the never twist straps I didnt know about that part. That makes it even more appealing now.

moped replied: Totally a nice feature to have!!!!!!

And is it convertible to a booster??

Calimama replied: I love the pink one! thumb.gif

Farelle replied: How old is Raygen? I'm looking into new car seats too for my 3 year old. He is 37 lbs. I'm also looking at the Britax because they are rated well for safety. There one called the Regent that can hold a child up to 65 lbs!! That means a longer time in a 5-point harness which is what I am loking for. It's kind of a big seat but I figure he'll be in in for another few years and be safe, so I'm going for it. You might want to check it out if she's around that age & size....or even if you want her to be in a car seat longer and not moving into the booster too soon. It goes for 269.99 most places.
Good luck!

boyohboyohboy replied: Did u pick one yet? I like the purple one with the flowers, really nice and girly! and looks so comfy..

MoonMama replied: I like the pink one best. thumb.gif

mom21kid2dogs replied:
FWIW, they have the highest top shoulder straps in the business. Olivia didn't outgrow this seat by height until she was 5.75 years old. She is a proportionally big child both by height and weight (meaning she is not super long in the torso). It was the only convertible (other than our Fisher Price Safe Embrace) that she could have used that long in both height and weight.

lisar replied: Raygen will be 2 next month. Which is why I cant just go straight to a booster seat. They have one of them that I really want. Its pink camo. But she would have to be atleast 30lbs before she could use it. And right now she is only 22pounds. It will be a while before she hits 30lb. So I have to go with the combo all of them go to a booster seat later. Which is why I think they are so much.

I am leaning towards the pink or purple one. But I might just take her and show her all of them and let her pick it out.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:
I think that would be great. wub.gif thumb.gif

I know Super Target sells them in these styles, too...if your Sears doesn't carry all of them in stock. wink.gif

jcc64 replied: you should shop around online, too. You should be able to get it for less than what Sears wants.
I have a Britax Roundabout for Corey and do not for one second regret paying for it. The straps are much, much more substantial than any other carseats on the market- and it's true, they absolutely never twist or tangle. It also has little velcro patches to hold the straps open when not in use- very handy when you're trying to get your kid in the seat in a hurry or with one hand. It's very plush and comfy and has one of the highest safety records. When you think about how much you use a carseat, it seems like a good place to make an "investment", kwim?
Besides, I think the higher weight/height maximums kind of offset the high price tag. Corey's still in her Roundabout. I admit, she's more like the size of a 3 yo (if that), but she's gonna be 5 in Sept, and I suspect we'll get many more yrs out of this one seat. (goes up to 45lbs). The bigger Britax, the Marathon, goes all the way up to 65lbs, but we felt it was so wide my older kids wouldn't have much room in the back seat.
I should be on their payroll, don't you think?

lisar replied: Yea the price isnt really what bothers me. Its jsut picking one out. I mean the price is a deciding factor but when it comes to the safety and durabilty rating on these things and the fact it will hopefully be the last one I ever have to buy that kinda weighs it all out for me. They go up to 100 pounds. Which by then she will be like 15. LOL... She is small for her age thats for sure.

coasterqueen replied:
ITA except for the no-twist strap thing. When I shelled out $300+ for Kylie's Britax Regent booster I was told about the no-twist strap thing which was my second reason for buying the darn thing and the ONLY reason I was able to convince Dh to let me buy it and they get twisted 24/7. He cusses that thing out every time Kylie needs them untwisted, which is every day. wacko.gif

I like the 1st one, the purple one the best.

Farelle replied: The Britax are great. If you read about the booster seats you'll find that none of them get very good ratings. Consumer Reports has some good info. I chose the Britax over all the boosters for that reason. There is NO price tag for safety! wink.gif
