Need some ideas ladies!

Maybe you could get the bride a victoria's secret gift certificate? I got some really pretty nighties at my bachelorette party which I liked. Have a great time!

alice&arik replied: I have only ever been to clubs and bars. But I am assuming you mean "swanky" as in "fancy?" LOL. But black is always a good choice. You could wear a cute black dress or something comfy. It all depends on what you would be comfortable in. I don't have any ideas on a gift though

I would wear a nice skirt and a cute shirt, also comfortable shoes. You don't want to be standing in high heels all night

We have two places like that around here if I'm getting what you are talking about and I just wear what I would wear to an evening party or reception.

As far as gifts.....I like actual gifts..not certificates for events like this, lol. I saw a nice silk camisole slip (like what you could wear to bed)..so it's kind of classy...not to trashy BUT then get her some sort of funny/trashy thing from one of those swank lingerie/sex shops.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Thanks guys. I'm sure I will wear black. I was trying to get out of buying boots. I have some really nice black pants I just bought at Ann Taylor and they are too long. I will definetly need boots to wear with them. I just don't have very much money right now. Maddie needs clothes, too. All of us do, really. I like ponchos and I was seeing them all over, but now I don't see them as much. What do you think of black pants, black turtleneck and a dressy poncho? With black boots. I would love to find a black dress, but I don't know where to look and lately I really don't like myself in dresses. My arms are fat. And for a gift I think I will go with something practical. I know she already has tons of nighties that she bought herself. What do you think of perfume or bath stuff??



The bride is my best friend's little sister. I have literally known her since she was born. So she is like my little sister, too. I don't know what you mean by "Any chance of you clubbing together with someone else?" Sorry. If it means are others going....yes. What term/phrase do you use for bachelorette party?

I went to 2 bachelorette parties this summer and each time the gifts the bride got were all gag gifts..like penis straws to drink her cocktail from, penis candles in the dessert, that sort of thing, bedroom games. I don't actually, know where to buy that stuff....maybe Party City (if you have that store)

I can't see taking Maddie and Ethan in there. Oh, can you imagine the questions she would be asking??? Gag gifts are fun. I may come up with something.

jen replied: old navy actually has ponchos! So I am sure they are reasonable there! I love that look now I want one! You would wear your black pants with a black camisole and a pale pink poncho or something like that. I never wear boots I always go for the stilletos! I also saw a picture frame at Hobby Lobby that said "A night to Remember" that would be cute then she could frame the night out! Good to see you on, i miss everyone!!!

As for the gifts, bath stuff would be nice. The bachelorette parties I have been to have all been gag gifts too. Do they have Spencer's where you live (not sure if that is a local store or not) but they carry that sort of thing.

Haha! Clubbing together means more than one person putting money together to get a present, lol. And we would call a bachelorette party a hen night! And the man's one is a stag night. I agree , your idea for an outfit sounds really good! Classy but not too dressy! And the photo frame or perfume idea is a good one. Good luck with finding stuff! xx
