New Year's Eve Plans

coasterqueen wrote: Ok, you all know I've been venting/whining about what I'm thinking/going to do on New Year's. I think we've decided on what we are doing. Or I should say I made a plan. tongue.gif We are going to start out the evening with our traditional Italian FEAST at Dh's cousin's house. We do this every year, there's only one year we didn't. The kids won't be going with us, though sad.gif because my parents made huge plans for them and the girls so I won't disrupt it. Kinda makes me sad, though. sad.gif After that we may go to a bar or two, but most likely not. Then we are going over to Dh's friends for the evening...the ones that I said were STALE as bread. rolleyes.gif Ahhha, BUT I convinced Dh and his friend to get a karaoke machine so it's going to be PARTY ON. emlaugh.gif thumb.gif I also talked them into some higher stake (than $1's) poker to liven things up so HOPEFULLY it will be a fun evening. tongue.gif My bowling partner is going to and we talked last night that he is in charge of making sure we have fun biggrin.gif because Dh is a bit too calm for my liking sometimes. happy.gif

SO those are my plans, what are yours?

TheOaf66 replied: well sounds like it is going to be a good time. I think we are going to have people at our house, we are the only ones with kids so it is harder for us to go out so it would be easier to have people over there. Jennie is PG so she can't drink which is not that big of a loss for her as she has pretty much "outgrown" that so we will see what happens.

MyLuvBugs replied: We'll be driving to Albuquerque to spend a few days with my Grandparents before driving all the way to Phoenix for the move. So, we'll probably all be asleep by 11pm and won't be ringing in the new year at all. Unless you count snoring as "ringing". laugh.gif

holley79 replied: thumb.gif Sounds like great plans. We are doing the usual, fireworks and family. emlaugh.gif

3_call_me_mama replied: We always celebrate with teh same 2 couples.... have since Cameron was born.
We have a christmas get together and exchange gifts with teh kids, then we play games unti midnight, eat appetizers and have drinks and just hang out. So that's what we'll be doing

sparkys2boys replied: well at least it sounds like you may have more fun then you had planned on!!! We will be taking the kids to a park that evening for sleigh rides, music, hot cocoa, and other games and such. Then we usually come home and I make a huge amount of unhealty junky snack..lol, have pop and watch a movie with them. Me and DH are in bed before midnight..lol.. bummer huh??

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Sounds fun! We're still sick here, so we don't have any plans. My FIL is flying in tomorrow and I bet he and DH will do something I think is boring like play chess while I cook for them...ugh. New Years has never been my favorite holiday, so I'm really not into doing much.

Have fun!

Cece00 replied: thumb.gif Bonfire, fireworks, dinner, drinking

SOUTHERN MOMMY replied: Hopefully i will be had this baby by thwen but either way just sitting home aaway from crazy caos

lisar replied: Well we are going to a buddy's house with all the 4-wheelers and the dirt bikes. Raygen will be staying with Granny. We are taking the camper so that no one has to drive home. And when the alcohol breaks out the play toys get put up. (I have the key to the trailer) emlaugh.gif( So they wont get them back.) And we will set off MAJOR LOADS of fireworks at midnight. And have the bomfire going all night. We do this every year. Its loads of fun. Its all our friends.

grapfruit replied: Hmm, I dunno, but that whole bon-fire thing sound really fun...probably just sitting at somebody's house having some drinks. Maybe Tim's brothers to play ping pong or something...who knows...

Calimama replied: We are going to watch the fireworks the base puts on, then we're handing Bella over to grandma and going to a new club in San Diego. I'm sooo looking forward to it. smile.gif

coasterqueen replied: Camping and bon-fires sound like a LOT of fun! Too bad it will be below freezing around here. BURRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
