New Years Eve - What are you doing?

We never do anything. We usually can't even stay awake til midnight...pathetic, huh?

ediep replied: we are going to my sisters new house for new years eve. Jason is coming with us, so hopefully he'll go to sleep there or else we are going to have to come home when he starts to meltdown

MamaJAM replied: We're having a double-slumber-party. Both DD#1 and DD#2 are both having friends over for the night. Should be interesting and fun!

We usually just stay home as a family on NYE and see how many of the kids can stay awake until midnight (and have someone wake me at about 11:45). This year will certainly be different.

My3LilMonkeys replied: We will spend the evening at MIL's house. We always have a party and it's a great time - and right across the street in case the girls can't make it until midnight.

My mom is coming down that afternoon & she said she'd watch the girls for a couple of hours. We are going to a movie then home to watch the ball drop. I gotta get up early the next morning to prepare for Lauren's first birthday party.

We are going to Virginia Beach for the night, dinner, dancing and partying. This is the last time DH will be off for New Years Eve and New Years for about 3 years!

Tripp is staying with my mom.

coasterqueen replied: Not sure what we are doing, Ryan just doesn't want to commit yet. We have been invited over to the family traditional New Years Eve italian fest, but Dh's cousins smoke and it's awful there. I refuse to subject my children to the smoke so if we go it will be for a short time, long enough to catch some quick grub and that's it. I'd LOVE LOVE to spend NYE with our friends down south but Dh doesn't want to intrude on them in case they have plans so we're not doing that.

We may do what we did last year which was a blast. We went to a nice dinner as a family then stayed up til midnight and became silly..Dh, Kylie and I. This year Megan can be silly with us if she decided to get up to nurse at that time.

ions_momma replied: We actually got a babysitter this year so DH and I will be going out with a bunch of our friends. I cant wait! And the sitter is going to watch Ion overnight so we can sleep in on New Years day!!!

DH's work gave him a $100 (after taxes) check for dinner because we missed the Christmas party and our sitter gave us movie money so we are going to a REALLY nice dinner and movie. I can't WAIT. Kaitlin'smom replied: Staying in with family and friends I am hoping it will be kinda quite but with this group, no such luck its been a hard week and still 2 more days to go. I am hoping to sleep in one of the days this weekend.

TANNER'S MOM replied: We are having some friends over and we will do a little or alot of celebrating and dancing..maybe play some cards.

I will spend the night with a dish towel in hand..and clean up after one I am sure!

Tanner is going to my dads..and he is not happy about it. He said No better not sleep in his bed. But we live so far in the country..if you drink you have to stay..no driving or taxi to get ya!

What do I wish I was doing?? Going to a bar with my DH and drinking in the New year. (Even if i wasn't pregnant I couldn't do that since DH is in recovery) I can't win!! The end of this January will be a year since Ive been out to do anything besides food shopping, going to parents houses, etc.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I guess we will be staying in that evening. DH leaves on Monday for 6 weeks so it's just going to be us. We might invite my BIL over, infact I need to mention that to DH. I'm sure we will put together some yummy food and watch the ball drop.

My2Beauties replied: We're going out with some other couples to a bar/restaurant type deal and ringing in the New Year with friends. We always do this. Mom is going to watch Hanna for us, she won't stay up that late anyways. Desiree always goes over our Aunt Sandy's house, she has a New Year's Eve thing for all the kids in the family. She gets them sparkling apple cider in champagne bottles, it's so cute and they play games. Hanna is too young this year, most of the kids that go are 5 and up. They would keep her up and she'd be too cranky for Sandy and Bill so mom is gonna watch her this year since they are staying at home. I'm getting drunk and so is DH
