New Year's Resolutions - What are yours?
My2Beauties wrote: Mine are:
1. To start cookiing more, DH bought me a cookbook for Christmas (he already told me) so I am going to try new things and stop cooking the same ol' same ol'
2. To buy some land and build a house (hopefully start building by May or June) or if not, just plain ol' buy a house, not have one built!
3. To stop being so clingy to Brian, lately I have been not so nice when he wants a night out with his friends, he doesn't go often, it's just he asks often and it gets on my nerves, so I say no, stay home with us! It's really because my friends are broke or can't find babysitters so I don't want him going out if I can't - purely selfish, so it's something I need to work on, and have been saying I want to for decades now
4. To get out of debt
5. To exercise
6. To immerse myself in my new position and make a good impression, so I can get a nice raise in May!!!!
mom2tripp replied: My number one resolution next year is to lose at least 15 pounds by working out and eating right and to FINALLY feel good in my own skin, which I haven't for SO long now!
2-) To quit feeling guilty about my new job and having to leave Tripp
3-) Quit cursing so much
4-) ACCOMPLISH MY RESOLUTIONS
My3LilMonkeys replied: Well it's nice to know that I am not the only one with several!
1. To keep eating healthy and working towards my goal weight
2. To start going to the gym a minimum of 3 times a week
3. To spend at least 15 min. a day with my dog training her (she has some behavioral issues and right now I'm just not putting in the time with her that I need to)
CAMSMOM1 replied: 1.) To lose weight! HAHAHAHA! I think it's my 3rd year of having this one as a New Years Resolution! Maybe this year I'll actually stick to it!
2.) To many more to list, I think I'm just going to concentrate on getting back to me, I've been in "Mommy Mode" for so long, I forgot the things I used to enjoy! So I'm going to take some more "me" time!
Ann
3xmommy replied: I have TOO many to list but here's a couple.
1.) To be healthier.
2.) To gain at least ten pounds without it being pure fat...
3.) To find a way that I can get a job so money won't be so TIGHT...
4.) To work with my kids even more than I do now with school things. (one is in school and one will start next year... where's all my time went?!)

coasterqueen replied: I was thinking about this the other day...thinking back at my resolutions for this year and how I didn't do well with them.
Anyways, my resolutions for 2006 are as follows and in no certain order:
1. Get down to my pre-preg w/Megan weight of 129.5 (so far right now I have 17 pounds to accomplish this). I seriously hope it doesn't take me the whole year to do this.
2. To maintain the above said weight goal.
3. Live life like I've never lived it before. I have really grown these past 3 months and I feel like I have a new outlook on it. Between my growth and my hopeful weight loss I really want to live life better than ever.
4. Try to get out of some of this debt or at least be a bit more responsible about it.
5. Be a better mother (which goes along with #3).
6. Be a better wife (which goes along with #3).
7. Stop saying "I can't" when it's really that I just don't feel like doing it or learning it or whatever it is. This is something I learned about myself while Ryan was gone the three months. There's a lot I can do if I just try, "I can't" is not in my vocabulary from here on out I HOPE.
martzfam27 replied: These are just a few
1) I actually need to GAIN weight since Im a good 10 pounds under for my 5'8'' frame
2) spend more time with lucas
3) quit smoking
4) be more organized
5) focus less on work
mummy2girls replied: 1.... be more happy with myself and enjoy life to the fullest!
2..... be the best mom i can be for jenna!
3..... get engaged...LOLOLOLOLOL
CAMSMOM1 replied: Ok, I didn't really put much thought into my last reply, so here's my new list: (after reading everybody's, I need to rethink it)
1.) Focus on my relationship with God again, and clean up my act....
2.) Lose weight, my goal is to get in a size 8 jeans again. Long ways to go with that one!
3.) Take some time to reconnect with old friends who I lost touch with after the baby.
4.) Go on more dates with my husband and try to be more loving and less nagging
5.) Decorate my house finally! Clean and cook everday. And learn more recipes!
6) Focus on my relationship with God again, and clean up my act....
7.) Stop smoking (I can't believe I started again, it's been a rough year) Stop drinking...not that I have a problem with it, but I can't drink and lose weight
8.) And of course, be the best Mommy I can be. And I know that if I do things that make me happy and I am a happier person, than my son will benefit from that. Try to enjoy life more and not sweat the small stuff.
9.) Go back and finish up my degree in Child Development. Only a few more classes to take.
10.) Stay motivated enough to actually accomplish all of this!

Celestrina replied: Lose weight. I work at a mall and it is hard to stay away from all that fast food. I don't have an ideal weight in mind because if I weigh myself on a regular basis I get discouraged.
Start seeing my therapist and psychiatrist again. I suffer from depression. When my DH switched jobs we had about two months without insurance and could not afford to see them or my antidepressant. I haven't contacted them since. I am also thinking about finding a new therapist.
holley79 replied:
LOL
Well shortly after getting pregnant I quit smoking. So I guess one of those is to remain smoke free.
Get back on weight watchers to get back down to my ideal weight and get back into the gym.
Try to be better about keeping the house clean. DH is the one that is always cleaning figure it's my turn after 8 years.
Quit cursing so much. If I don't, Annika is going to have a potty mouth.
TANNER'S MOM replied: Oh I need this.. I need to get my mind set on my goals!
1. Lose more wieght..and tone up my lower stomach 2.Make an effort to dress better and more stlyish.
I know those seems for egotisical I am sorry.
3.Not jump to the worst conclusion..especially where my children are involved. I sometimes don't listen to the WHOLE story~
4.Work on making my marriage better. Make time for Randy and let him know how much he means to me more often.
5.Be there more for my Dad..and not act like it's an inconvience.
6.Keep my vechile cleaner!
gr33n3y3z replied: I have a few:

Kaitlin'smom replied: alright here are mine
continue to lose weight
declutter the house
get house projects done (ie painting)
more dates with DH
fine tune job skills so I can make more extra money
Hillbilly Housewife replied: 1) Get out of debt. Even with all we've been paying off - we still have about 40K left.
2) Put $ in our kids' RESPs rather than only in my RRSP
3) Not yell at the kids so much
4) Get back to a size 6/8..... I've kept all my nice clothes... lol so really my goal is to work in at least 15 minutes of excercise EVERY DAY. I've started on this - I go walk around the centre... so I walk a lot, and go up and down about 4 flights of stairs to get around, instead of taking the elevator.
5) Not get on DH's case about being a slob so much... he actually started the dishwasher this morning and did a load of laundry... I think he's finally "getting" it!
6) Not be such a bit** to my MIL. She's a nice person deep down... she just tries to help too much, and the wrong ways.
7) Cook more different things for dinner. We all usually have a very balanced meal of veggies and meat for lunch, so we've been slacking on dinners...most often pastas, soups or sandwiches....quick and painless... but we need to eat better!
8) Shop less. No WONDER we have so much debt... I spend it as soon as I get it!
9) Update the kids' scrapbooks. I've done a page here and there this last year... but I need to get to it. My picture pile is getting too large.
10) Not get pg again.
There's probably many more.... but I don't want to get ahead of myself by TOO much....
A&A'smommy replied: I don't have any because I NEVER stick to them but I do have goals for myself (yeah okay it sounds the same but its not because I have been working on it off and on already)
To loose 5lb at a time until I loose ALL the weight I want to.. I want to loose 65lbs or more BEFORE my 21st birthday...
oh and to excersice more
Maddie&EthansMom replied: 1) Go to church every Sunday
2) Be a better wife and mother
3) Keep a cleaner, more organized home
4) Finish all of our projects around the house
5) Stick with the budget DH configured
6) Lose these last 15-20 pounds
7) Eat healthier
8) Continue going to the gym
9) Set a better example for my kids and have more patience and understanding
mammag replied: I have a ton but it all boils down to changing my standards.......for my health & fitness, house work, kids, relationship.
I'm going to expect more from myself this year. I want to try my best in everything I do this year. I'll take it one day at a time....one issue at a time.
I'm excited about the year to come. I'm hoping for big things around the corner.
