kit_kats_mom replied: One of the ladies my mom works with just found out that their 24 week baby has no brain. I don't know what to think but I do feel so sorry for them. I'm sure that they fall under this law.

Schnoogly replied: Oh that is so sad! Is inducing labor the same thing as a partial birth abortion? It seems like there has to be a way to end pregnancies that will never be viable without causing pain to the fetus. I think any late 2nd-3rd trimester pregnancies that need to be ended like this woman's could have labor induced and let the baby pass away naturally, but I'm no expert.

Usually in scenarios like that, they make them mom deliver or do a c-section. The baby cannot live with no brain. So, they induce a stillborn fetus. How sad.

And i also sent him an encouraging email i dont think he really got it but im sure its nice to get those kinds of emails sent to you then the ones where people are cursing him out for passing those kinds of laws! Anyways i think its great and im real proud of him!

juliajaj replied: I've heard that a Supreme Court justice is requesting that it be overturned. I've heard that President Bush voted that there should be a complete ban with no exceptions. The Supreme Court justice is requesting that the President's vote be overturned due to the no exceptions part. The justice feels that the only time this procedure should be done is if the woman's life is at stake. He doesn't feel that it's right to let a woman die while delivering.
