New sippy cups! - Love them...

Kaitlin'smom wrote: Okay first sorry but for the life of me I can't remember who told us about the thorw away sippy cups, but THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

I was at Wal-Mart yesterday looking around at all the sippy cups, cause Kaitlin only has one that she will actually drink out of, so we were needing moore. Well I look down and saw them in packs of 4 for $2.50! Wow how cheep and they were spill proof. I figured why not, if she does not like them at least I did not spend alot. So I got them and home we went well I washed them up and gave her one with some water in it with her dinner, she love it! I actually had to re-fill the glass. Okay I did not put that much water in it about 3oz. I was sooo happy and I dont care if I loose it or have to toss it. I am gonna go back and get another pack (maybe 2) so we have plenty and I can keep a couple in her bag for when we go out. Maybe now she will drink juice out of it? Dunno If I wanna risk that one yet.

Anyway thanks again! smile.gif

victoire2002 replied: We use these.... they're fantastic. They do start to leak after they've been washed a few times, but overall they are so great for kiddos. I buy a new pack about once a month, and never worry if we happen to leave one somewhere!
I give Aidan his milk and water in these!

Kirstenmumof3 replied: thumb.gif thumb.gif We use these too and they are just wonderful! Claudia hasn't figured out that she has to suck really hard to get anything out of those other cups, but these ones are just great! thumb.gif thumb.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Glad Kaitlin likes them!

Thanks for letting me know that they are at Wal-Mart. That's where I will be shopping tomorrow. smile.gif

MomToMany replied: I might give these a try! I still haven't found one that Hannah really likes, so maybe these will work. She has to suck so hard out of the other ones, so I think that's why she doesn't like them.

Kaitlin'smom replied:
your welcome smile.gif

I think the other thing is Kaitlin did not like handles, all the ones she wont use have a handle and the one she likes does not.....hummm maybe I am on to something. I had just figred that handles would be easier for her to hold....oh well she proved me wrong.

DansMom replied: Daniel can't figure out his sippy cups either---they require too much suction I think. Thanks for the recommendation!

MommyToAshley replied: Just curious, what are the spouts made out of? Ashley drinks fine out of all the sippy cups, she just bites the spouts. That's why we have tried so many different kinds, I was trying to find ones that she wouldn't bite off pieces of the plastic or rubbery spouts.

Kaitlin'smom replied: they are a hard plastic. I say try them could not hurt they only cost $2.50 for 4 so if she does bite them off you did not waste much money.

MommyToAshley replied: OK, now I feel REALLY SILLY. wacko.gif

All this time I was looking for Paper disposable cups. LOL I guess when I read disposable, I automatically assumed they were paper cups. I just kept thinking, "wow, that must be some strong paper" LOL rolling_smile.gif

Kaitlin'smom replied:
LOL!!! rolling_smile.gif LOL

your funny.

I wonder what they were like since they are disposable but I never thought paper.....that would be some fun strong paper!

CantWait replied: are they the ones you can tip and nothing comes out?

Kaitlin'smom replied:
yep, they are spill proof. did have a few drips the first time used but now nothing!

TLCDad replied: I have to agree, those cups are great and do not spill and at a great price too. I am a little bit concerned on how they will do in the dish washer thought, especially on heated drying.
But, even as a drink and toss they are very nice.

Maddie&EthansMom replied:

I have washed Maddie's in the dishwasher several times and they don't melt. I even put the lids in the basket (where the forks and spoons go). I haven't had any leaks yet. If your dishwasher gets real hot you could just put the lids on the top.

They are great! Is she drinking milk from them yet? rolling_smile.gif
