Not gonna be in style this winter - didn't Oprah tell us last year....
punkeemunkee'smom wrote: That NOBODY can do the skinny jean??? Denim looks for the fall Then why oh WHY are they bringing back the 1980's cigarette leg jean? I am going to be so out of fashion I am kidding of course,I am not that concerned-but I think I will stay with my boot cut jeans-I can't see myself in these styles
PrairieMom replied: well, if you listen to the experts on the TV style segments they will tell you that anyone can wear that style. I won't be. I'm still trying to shrink back out of my maternity pants.
CantWait replied: I think those don't fit anybodies body type.....I won't go any further then to say that.
Crystalina replied: Oh Lord woman! I thought you were seriouse. I started reading your post and I was thinking..."Is she for real?". Glad you weren't.
Style? Ha-ha! I don't have a style. I have horses, chickens, goats and pheasants to feed. Then I get to clean the house and feed the kids and do whatever errand needs to be ran. I guess I can use my computer time to worry about fashion but nah. I worried too much about that in school. Although I do notice that I make sure the kids and DH always look good before they leave the house.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: As IF I would ever pay more than 60$ for a pair of jeans. Heck, I'll settle for 20$ at Walmart...nevermind the 200$ jeans "oven-bakec" and "only handled by 3 people"... PUH-LEASE!
Skinny jeans.
PrairieMom replied: oven baked jeans. huh. well, i guess this is yet another fashion trend that I am going to have to ride out.
coasterqueen replied: After walking downtown Chicago a few weeks ago and seeing many in skinny jeans I learned this:
A. There is a large population of people who should NOT and I repeat NOT wear the skinny jeans...this includes me.
B. There is only like 1% of the population skinny enough to wear those jeans. You have to be like a buck ten and very tall to where those things and not look extremely out of proportion, IYKWIM.
I thought any style meant flattering your body which means if you have any thighs what-so-ever wearing skinny jeans is NOT going to flatter them it's going to say "look at my thighs, please, look at my thighs"......I don't need any help accentuating my thunder thighs.
mom2my2cuties replied: OMG - Karen that was just too funny!
I will stick to my Wal-Mart boot cut jeans - that is until i am absolutely forced into maternity wear.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I was just telling someone what a bad style this is. I HATE...DESPISE skinny leg jeans
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I agree!!
luvmykids replied: I don't know about the skinny jeans but I just bought a pair of the black cigarette pants, I thought they were cute but now I'm thinking I should probably get a second (or third, fourth, fifth LOL) opinion before wearing them in public
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Did I miss something???
MomToJade&Jordan replied: Um no thank you. I'm having a hard enough time dealing with all of the other 80's fashions that seem to be coming out of the woodwork. Case in point...leggings with a long sweater over them. Yeah I wore that style...in the 80's. I will continue to wear my bootleg and flared jeans thank you very much.
Cece00 replied: Word.
Seriously, out of 100 people I know, those would look good on about 2 of them.
Brias3 replied: I think the "skinny" jeans only look good on you if you are BEYOND "skinny". I don't feel that I'm overweight at all, in fact I'm getting happier with my figure....until I tried these things on. I swear you need to be a redwood-tall toothpick to have these pants flatter you.
MoonMama replied: Me too
coasterqueen replied: Yes, I agree. I was thinking about this this morning and the ones I've seen are seriously on the verge of anorexic and honestly don't look good in them.
I have seen photos of celebs wearing them (besides the Nicole Richie's of the world....blah!) and they look good in them but they did a good job of accentuating everything just right to get away with it. Not something I'm good at.
luvbug00 replied: HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...no. I wouldn't be caught dead in skinny panks. I don't want to bend over and have the world see my undergarmets! LOL! i do love the tights and sweaters though back to flashdance we go!
JP&KJMOM replied: No, No, NOOOOO. Not wearing them here. I will stink to my boot cut jeans forever.
booey2 replied: Firstly I will never, ever wear these skinny leg jeans I have a hard enough time finding reg. jeans to fit.
Secondly, Rocky - I believe mom2my2cuties announced her PG a couple of days ago if I remember correctly.
Terri
BAC'sMom replied: Your my kind of girl Karen!
redchief replied: Ahh, yes, the pants that make even the best shaped legs seem to be sporting knobby knees.
mom2my2cuties replied: no im not pregnant - we are trying
Kaitlin'smom replied: nope, never, nada. I would rather wear legging with a big sweatter.
I dont think they look good on anyone 'real'...they might but I have yet to see someone and think oh skinny jeans woudl look great on them.
booey2 replied: Sorry about that, I thought I had seen that some where. Best of luck trying and remember to have fun in the process.
Terri
mom2my2cuties replied: No biggie - I confused a few people I think
We aren't going to stress over it to much - I am so excited I could pop - but stressed nah.
