MomofTay&Sam replied: Sorry I have to ask..but what is AF??
mummyof2boyz replied: AF= Aunt Flo....another name for a period.
I still have some pain with sex. Ever sence I had my first son 4 years ago. My pain usually goes away after a little bit during sex. Don't know if this is the same with you but if it is I know you pain.
booey2 replied: Hi I found that even now a year and a half after Thomas was born I am still kinda not as regular as I used to be. You will eventually get back on track. As for the soreness the doctor told me that after giving birth it can take up to a year or a little more for your body to get back to almost the way it was before you were pg. Also remember what size your baby was and the passage he/she had to travel through to get into your arms. If you are worried I would ask your doc at your next visit. Hope this helps.
supermom replied: Nods, the mini-pill in conjunction with BF can result in very irregular periods........all of those hormones that we get to deal with when PG and BF are still 'running around' our bodies for quite a while after birth and all of that .....I would say not to worry too much about that.
I didn't experience any pain with intercourse after the first month or so, so I can't offer any advice there except maybe to ask if it's from lack of lubrication? I know sometimes hormones can mess with that too.....so maybe using something used to help out with that would help?
MommyToAshley replied: I was told by my Doc that my AF could be inconsistent, but it hasn't been. Just thought I would let you know that my Doc said it is common for AF not to be consitent especially if you are BF.
Just FYI, there is a link at the top of the page for all the common abbreviations. I know mummyof2boyz already answered your question, but thought I would let you know about the link for future reference. I use it all the time.
MomofTay&Sam replied: Thanks M2Ashley I know it's there just never have time to open it and read thru.
Quick question about this, did you guys have vaginal births? I had a c-section both times, I am unable to give birth the natural way. After 6 months I am back to normal, the first 3 months was a nightmare.
MommyToAshley replied: Yes, I did.
paradisemommy replied: thanks to all who replied..you came to my rescue again and i feel much better
sammy's mommy - i had a c-section. for some reason my cervix wouldn't dilate when i went into labor - could have been his size, i'm real petite and he was 8 #s, 6 oz. regarding intercourse, it was really painful for me initially but like mummyof2boyz said, the pain isn't excruciating and it will normally go away after a while - i think it is just because dh is a big guy that and combo of all the hormones/the pill and bf.
thanks everyone
MomofTay&Sam replied: Taven's MoM that was my problem also, I am 5'1 and back to 110 but I could not pass either boys out that way. I hope everything starts *sliding* back into place for ya. LOL Use KY it comes in like 5 different types now, thats what I do.
supermom replied: I had one C/S for not dialating (but I think they induced me before I was 'ready') - then two vaginally and the last one C/S (after fully dialating, but prolapsed cord, so his heart basically stopped when I pushed) - it didn't seem to matter after the c/s - intercourse didn't hurt as bad as it did when I gave birth vaginally because of the episiotomies - one was pretty big because they had to forcep her out and I was sore for a while...but after it healed all up, it was fine for anything. With the C/S, we just used different positions so that he wasn't on my incision for a while.
Mommieto2Girls replied: Wow supermom, your last birth went like my first one. I was induced due to high blood pressure and when fully dialated I push for 3 contractions and her heartbeat stopped or almost did, still noy sure. Then went for a emergency c-section. She wasn't even a big baby (6lbs 12ozs, 18inches). I am a big girl so everyone kept saying your gonna push out a 10 pounder. hahaha not me. As for afterwords we had sex 2 weeks after giving birth. It hurt a little but I could handle it. After a few times everything went back to normal. As for AF. I have been pretty regular since the baby until now, I lost 34 lbs and missed AF, I am now 10 days late and keep taking pg test but they keep comming up negative. Sry for rambling on . Having fun typing lol.
